Iron Maiden: Number of the Beast [DVD] [2001]

At a time when British heavy metal was on the wane, Iron Maiden gave the U.K. metal scene new life with their 1982 album The Number of the Beast, and this documentary offers a look at the making of this classic album. The disc has also been encoded with optional subtitles in English. No bonus features have been included, but the documentary has been revised to include footage of Iron Maiden's appearance at the 2001 Rock in Rio Festival.

Synopsis

Classic Albums: Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
This program features the popular, award-winning heavy metal band Iron Maiden. The enduring British group has been making music for over 25 years. The group's five members have been both praised and criticized for their unique style and presentation. Charges of Satanism are mixed with admiration for the virtuosity of their best music. Music critics and album producer Martin Birch go on a witch hunt of every cut of the band's recording of The Number of the Beast, seeking evidence to confirm or deny those allegations. ~ Rose of Sharon Winter, Rovi
