Ivee is easy enough to setup if you follow the difections. Ivee works well with my WeMo devices. The wife and I occasionally watch movies/TV at night and a couple times the audio has triggered Ivee. I would have liked to have seen a mobile app to help connect Ivee to the over devices and to set the time and alarms. You have to talk to Ivee and set your alarms, this is not convenient if my wife is already asleep and I don't want to wake her. I can't recommend the product at full price, its worth it at half the original.

Its a great concept and now has lots of competition. Many of the contenders offer a greater feature set but the Ivee is pretty good! the only problem is the hardware is not the best at picking up sounds and voice and is consistently incorrect in execution of commands. It actually plays very nicely with WEMO, HUE and Smartthings and i've been using it with them for a while now but the Ivee has a hard time understanding words that are similar like "Dining Room" and Living Room Right" for some reason it always mixes those two up. The response is unpredictable i ask it to turn on the dining room light and it will turn on the hue lights and set the scene. Its soft of like rolling the dice and letting it decide which device will turn on, so i made sure all the critical devices were removed from the Ivee control so i didn't turn them on or off by accident.,

This product is noted to work or will work in the future with a number of other smart home devices. It's a matter of ignoring the adverts and concentrate on recent news and comments.
Functions in communicating with other devices about 85% of the time, combining a failure to understand commands, to having to get commands exact and at a learn-able speed (moderatespeed speech seems best) before acknowledging the command. Many commands simply do not work such as "turn on radio to ##.#" with a consistent error response.
No battery backup for function, only internal memory store for setup so its not removed when unplugging device to move it closer to Wi_Fi when Ivee drops signal connection. So a short time allowed before item needs resetting of wi-fi settings and clock. Don't unplug it for too long -- and keep it close to the Wi-Fi for what appears to be a weak (short distance) connecting signal.
Has some nice sleep sounds and creative alarms which would be great to add more. Simple sleek design and adequate physical function, though the plastic buttons are frail to the touch with awkward feel not knowing if it "clicks" or not. Can assume they may fail within a couple of years.
From experience and comments, customer support is evasive, and with apparent issues from lack of support and updates to connecting to previous and future designed smarthome products including FitBit which is presently not supported though referenced that it is (including commands) in the adverts. Other products seeming in the same boat.
Beneficial with Iris in executing most (again 85%) of commands without having to go to the Iris app.
For most uses it comes across feeling like a glorified alarm clark, while at times functioning as needed and giving a welcomed comfort to not having to go searching an app to make other products work.
One pet peeve is having to say "Hello Ivee" before EVERY command, rather than a 3 second delay between it's resetting so that you can perhaps give a chain of commands before it resets.
Rated it good if you eventually forget about cost, that it serves a minimal function, but seems "first generation" in home command smart-ware and I look forward to seeing something else come up the pipeline.

Setup was not hard but voice recognition is hit and miss. You find yourself feeling like a fool. When if did recognize it did control my home automation, but when asking for weather or inside temperature it replied with foolish phrases like ..I'm sorry my brain is fried...I contacted tech supt 5 days ago and only recerived auto reply and nothing addressing my problem

I liked this clock a lot but found it didn't always detect my voice correctly and accurately. It is a neat clock but I don't think I would buy another, until they get the voice activated functions to be more accurate.
