Great adapter for a Windows 7 machine. I use it to hook a second external monitor (2 total) up to my work-issued laptop. It is plug-and-play as promised. Please note that this device is not compatible for Windows 8. It works perfectly. I can't tell any difference between my identical monitors, one using the VGA config and the other using this adapter for DVI config.

This device is good for giving you more real estate. Don't use it for much more than having more data open. Good for charts graphs and anything static. Don't expect to play video without graphic display issues.

Plug in and use. I had to download a driver for my windows computer and MacBook. It took only a few clicks. It works great and the picture on my monitors are very clear.
