Need more ports? No problem.
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I bought this “just in case.” Just in case i need an additional port of some sort & good thing that i did. At first i just wanted to connect my monitor to my laptop via a single USB-C where the GPU is located, but not before long my laptop was running out of usable ports. The J5 adapter remedied that issue easily. Monitor connected, as well as my controller, headphone amp, and whatever else I decide to connect to the J5. Sometimes less is more, but in this case, the more ports the merrier.

Flawless performance, worth every penny
Posted .It was brand new product, with zero reviews on this site or anywhere on the internet, and also a little bit pricey, Hence I was hesitant to buy, but went with my instincts and J5create reputation on other products. I received it within less than 2 days. High quality workmanship, properly tested device and reliability, are pretty important to me. Yes, there are some cheaper products, but hardly any meeting my criteria. In my line of profession, time is of premium - effort to order something, and then returning, is an overhead for which I can least afford. I received it well before stated time, and it met all my criteria - including high quality finish and it works flawlessly. It is worth every penny and I would highly recommend this to anyone sharing my criteria.

Lots of ports
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. The only thing I don’t like is the length of the cable. For an iPad Pro the port sits off the table. But everything else is awesome. It has three USB ports with one of them being a powered port. Something you don’t see a lot. The other thing I like a lot is it has a small and big memory card port for my camera downloads. This would definitely be good for a laptop. It just sits to high for the iPad

Good option for a cheaper price.
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. Its decently reliable, although the ethernet port kept dropping connection, so I decided to stop using it and just use wifi. The reason for 3 stars is that it gets incredibly hot. To the point that I'm sure it will burn out in next 6-9 mo. I expect some heat but this thing gets cooking.

Posted .The adapter is built with compactness and portability in mind, it is expected to observe that the aluminum shell of the USB-C hub gets warmer, especially if the USB-C pass-through charging and/or all ports on the hub are utilized. Please note that hotter operating temperatures can be expected. As for the Ethernet issue, please test with another Ethernet cable and Ethernet port on your router. Power-off your networking hardware for approximately 30 seconds then power it back on. Or renew the DHCP lease.

J5 create adapter
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Have used it several times, but it gets too warm for my liking. Cord is not long enough so to looks like my Mac is just about giving birth to it. Just sort of hangs there. Nice to have all the accessory ports, but I’m concerned about the heat produced. First time using it I was transferring pictures and thought that was causing the heat. Leaving it plugged in but idle, it generated the same amount of heat.

Posted .Generally, adapters emit some heat as a normal part of its operation. Please note that hotter operating temperatures can be expected, if the USB-C pass-through charging and/or all ports on the hub are utilized. Does what it should do!
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Excellent way to add storage and mouse capabilities. The cord could be longer, found it awkward to use with more than one plugin.

Q: QuestionMy adapter gets EXTREMELY hot when just plugged into HDMI to a single monitor. Is this normal? I am afraid it might be hurting my laptop. Do all usb c adapters get this hot (too hot to hold for more than a second). Should I invest in another one?
Asked by GMontoya.
- A:Answer I was wondering the same thing as mine also get really hot. I plugged it in to my laptop for about 5 mins and it got to the point where I almost couldn’t hold it.

- A:Answer The JCD383 can become slightly warm due to electricity passing through it, however, if it is becoming too hot, we recommend exchanging it. ** Feel free to contact the Technical Support team mentioned on the packaging for further assistance or if you have any other questions and someone will be glad to assist you.

Q: QuestionIs the USB-C port on this adapter only for charging, or can it be used for data transfer also? If so, is it a USB 3.1 or what version?
Asked by Shrek.
- A:Answer There are two USB-C ports on this adapter. One (with attached cable) plugs into the laptop/tablet and is used for both data and power. The second one (plug only) can be used as either a data passthrough or to attach an external power source (highly recommended). The USB-C ports support PD-3.0 power delivery and data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps.

Q: Questioncan I use this device to project "cast" my streaming service movie on my Samsung galaxy S7+ to any digital TV with an HDMI port
Asked by TennesseeRaven.
- A:Answer You should be able to stream any Subscription based services, such as: Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Now, and many others from your phone to an external display via HDMI port. However, please keep in mind that these services providers are protected by HDCP. Devices to cables to adapters to software drivers and displays, must all be HDCP compliant. Review online documentation for each device, or contact the equipment manufacturer for more information. Thank you.
