My 8 year old son bought this with his own money and he loves it. Honestly, to me it feels like a cheap rc car for $30 but it seems to work as it should. I can't say anything about the battery life because it wasn't fully charged when my son purchased it and so he only played with it for a short time and it was left sitting (like most of his toys).
