A: AnswerThe JBL Charge 3 does float. About half of the speaker is submerged while half stays above water. But..... even though it is pretty cool to see the speaker float, it’s still a 180$ speaker, do you want to risk water damage? The sound from the speaker do sound a bit messed up when on the water as the speakers are hitting the water but are not fully submerged.Answered by Bryant

- A: AnswerThanks for reaching out. Our products have been charged up ready for storage and shipping but not fully charged. it doesn't hurt anything to fully charge this speaker before using it. It doesn't hurt anything if you skip this step. To keep the battery healthy, it is not advisable to drain the battery before charging it, small, frequent charges are better than charging it 0-100% at a time.
