JBL - Clip+ Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Yellow

I needed a new Bluetooth speaker.Salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful. I liked the demonstration of the audio quality. Easy to find the red speaker. Sounds great hanging on a hook in the shop. Sounds even better when playing in my Grandmother's cast iron pot. I call it "Heifezt in a Pot" See picture.

I tried to listen to the speaker in the store but the display for JBL was still not working. I heard it over at Wal-Mart and it sounded good. I wanted the Reward Points so i bought it at Best Buy. Great sound....at moderate volume it will last a few hours.

I purchased this speaker for my daughter, she enjoys the portability. The sound is of good quality. I will be getting a couple more to use in the yard and in the office.

I got this from Best Buys today. I compared this JBL to my Sonny Mega Bass boom box and cannot tell too much difference. Yes, this speaker can make really loud noise and it vibrates my hands if I touch it.For a little box, the sound is impressive. I substracted 1 star because I took it to my bathroom while leaving my iphone outside (8 yards away), and the sound got cut off a couple of times. You need to leave it close to the phone. If you use the cord, the music will never break. I listened to the music for 4 hours and everything worked fine.If you need extra time for the beach, I would suggest to buy an extrenal battery for both the phone and the speaker. External batteries are inexpensive nowadays. You can get one for as little as $10. Besides, batteries will naturally charge less and less...to eventually none, like my laptop.

I work in a loud factory. We aren't allowed to use headphones. So, I use the "CLIP" attached to my t-shirt and can hear it loud and clear! LOVE IT! The reason I will not give it a 5 rating is because the charge only last about 3 1/2 hrs. The product description says the charge will last 6hrs. The charge is good and strong for about 3hrs. After that, the next 1 1/2 hrs. it will keep turning off and dropping the connection to my phone Bluetooth before going dead. Or, I'll get irritated and just disconnect and go charge it. I work 10hr shifts. I rarely use it the first couple of hours of work and I don't use it during my 1/2hr lunch, 10 min breaks, or the last hour of work. It would be perfect, IF it actually did last on a 6hr charge. 4 stars because it is an excellent product for the first 3 hrs after a complete charge.

We bought this speaker to use in a shower, after reading reviews of a large number of lower-priced Bluetooth speakers listed as being water resistant or waterproof. This one beat the field by being among the very lowest priced while still having excellent reviews. I have not been disappointed by its performance or build quality. It's sturdy and feels like it. It paired quickly to my iPhone, and music playback works smoothly, with no stutter or hiccups that I can hear (as long as the phone is within 20 feet or so). The sound is fairly impressive for a lower-end device, especially with the bonus acoustics of a shower. There are some drawbacks: First, there are no "next" and "previous" buttons to skip tracks. This can be worked around by using Siri (on iPhone; I assume similar voice control works on other phones), but it's not obvious. The manual is very skimpy. It's a simple device, but the manual is actually a little too simple. You can only pair one device to it. This didn't surprise me, and it's not a feature that was promised in any way, but it's still a shame. Being able to pair both my and my wife's phones would have made this a five-star speaker despite the other little problems.

I was amazed, and still am, at the sound quality of the JBL Clip+. The portability wasn't what I was buying per se, but the price. $50 was all I had to spend on a bluetooth speaker for my iPad, and this was the best one at that price. While the sound quality is great, especially for its size, I have to say some of the mechanics of it aren't so great. For instance, when it is plugged in to charge, an orange light comes on. I never know when it is fully charged because the orange light doesn't go off. It has a good playing range of the 5 hours advertised; however, it does not retain its battery charge when not in use. I charged it continuously for 14 hours then removed from charger but didn't use it for 3 days. When I started listening to my iTunes library of music through my iPad on it, it didn't even make it through 1 song! I have gotten around this fact that it does not hold a charge by buying its own USB charger and charging it ALL the time unless in use. I have a bluetooth keyboard and an auxiallary charger that hold charges for months. This is a head-scratcher and for this reason, I'd recommend saving up a few more $$ and buying a higher-end JBL bluetooth because of its sound quality and clarity.
