Best at Best Buy
||Posted .Owned for 3 months when reviewed.Definitely my favorite set of speakers sold by best buy. They are the brightest sounding speakers of all the ones they carry. Not sure what the tweeter is made out of, but it was brighter than all the other speakers on display. The component feature allows you to get better mids and raise your sound stage. My only area of improvement is power handing. 70rms is fine for most amps, but I wish jbl had a higher power speaker, 100+rms like the old infinity kappa speakers both made by Harmon.

Alpine vs JBL
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.I replaced some brand new S Series Alpine 6.5 component speakers with the JBl 6.5 component speakers and what a difference it made. The JBL speakers have less distortion and more music. I am now their biggest fan.

Great aftermarket speakers !
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I have a Chrysler LXI Concorde. I replaced the factory speakers with kicker speakers. The kicker speakers blew out. I was very disappointed. I talked to the team member at Best buy and he suggested the jbl's. I am so glad that I purchased theses. Do you speakers have great Bass and good highs. I should have bought these in the first place.

Great car speakers
||Posted .I have JBL in our home, pro audio in our business, and now in both of our vehicles. I like them because you can hear every instrument. Very musical. A little brassy, but good for old ears.

Q: QuestionWhy do these speakers need two amps? Do they need power directly from the battery terminal? Do I have to remove my factory amp or can it run in line with the jbl amps?
Asked by David.
- A:Answer The preamps you see are just separating the highs to send to the tweeters and sending the mids and lows to the main speaker. Keep your amp.
Answered by Ludlud
Q: QuestionWhy does it only come with one tweeter. Usually you a tweeter on each side. My question is do I need to buy another tweeter
Asked by Jomama.
- A:Answer It comes as a complete set. 2 mid bass, 2 crossover, and 2 tweeters! No further purchase is necessary.

Q: QuestionI'm looking to get new speakers on my 08 Acura TL. Would these and another pair of 6.5 JBL's be a good replacement (open to other suggestions), and would I need to buy a new amp to replace the stock one?
Asked by RonRon.
- A:Answer Great speakers for the money. You will probably be ok with the current setup: the speaker are rated with an impedance of less than 3 ohms; which means that they require very little power to produce decent sound.

Q: QuestionWhat’s the ohm button for on the crossovers shows 0 and 3.something
Asked by Crossover.
- A:Answer +3dB makes the tweeter louder than 0dB

Q: QuestionI'm installing the woofer in the back and the tweeters up front of my car. My receiver has separate connectors for front, back, left, right. I planned to connect both front and back from each side to the input on the crossover. Is that OK?
Asked by Joe.
- A:Answer Not ok. component speakers are meant to be set up no more than 12 inches apart, otherwise the separation will be too much and they will sound echoed

Q: QuestionMy Ford Fusion has 4 OEM 6.5 speakers, one in each door, should I replace all 4 for the best sound, or just the front speakers?
Asked by Ralph.
- A:Answer Most every car I have ever been in has the entertainment system focused on the driver. The sound reverberates throughout the remainder of the car. However, it is usually a good idea to replace them all if you are looking to upgrade so that sound is more clear and even all around. Just be mindful of the impedance rating, output, and also input as to avoid distortion, poor sound quality. And most of all, blowing the speakers due to poor judgement on trying to save money like I did, recently.

Q: QuestionI have a 180w kicker amp installed on my factory radio, can i put these on my current amp or does it have to run off of the amps it comes with
Asked by Danny.
- A:Answer It does not come with an amp (I thought it did too). What you see are crossovers, meant to split your HIghs from Mid and Lows; the tweeters will play hights and other speakers will play mid and lows.
Answered by lexdom
Q: QuestionMy OEM stock speakers are already set-up as separate woofers (in the doors) and tweeters (in the dash)... Can I forgo the crossover and just replace the existing OEM speakers with these OR do I need to rewire and integrate the provided crossover?
Asked by ttap.
- A:Answer You have to use the crossover or you will burn up the tweeter
