Remastered in 4K!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 15th anniversary blu-ray release of Jerry Maguire is definitely worth the upgrade from the blu-ray that was initially released in 2008. The color is richer and vibrant with the right saturation. It also comes with all-new special features that were not included in the previous release, and they include: *Jerry Maguire: We Meet Again - A 3-part retrospective featuring new interviews with Tom Cruise & Cameron Crowe *Nearly 60 minutes of never-before-seen deleted & extended scenes *Photo gallery. *Theatrical Trailer There is a lot more special features included, but will not list all on here since it is the same as the previous release. The ones mentioned are what is new and different from the previous release. What is also special about this release is that it comes with original CD soundtrack as well as a booklet with an introduction from the director Cameron Crowe himself, followed by the actual 25 page document that is featured in the film "The Things We Think And Do Not Say." Note that this document was included on the previous blu-ray release, but is not included on the 15th anniversary blu-ray disc itself since it is printed on the small booklet. If you have not purchased Jerry Maguire on blu-ray in the past, the 15th anniversary version is THE version to get!!! You won't be disappointed!

BEST OF THE 90'S!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Glad I picked up this new edition of a classic 90's comedy/drama! Still a touching film in more ways than one. This edition comes packed with all the old special features from the dvd(special edition) as well as new retro interviews, and more bonuses. You can also take this movie on the go with the digital copy included.

Great release for this feature film.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Jerry Maguire's new 1080p transfer, fully remastered in 4K, looks phenomenal. Ignoring the big elephant in the room -- the absence of a UHD release -- there's no mistaking this as a top-shelf 1080p presentation, probably about the height the Blu-ray format can reach. The image is gorgeously filmic -- breathtaking, really -- and more than just watching the movie it's a joy to simply gaze at the transfer, to soak it in, to be happy, thrilled, to be living in a time when such an honest cinematic presentation is available to view at home. Even after a decade-plus of Blu-ray and months of UHD, a transfer like this still stands apart. The combination of filmed source and meticulous 4K scan is still a sight, even on Blu-ray. Needless to say, the image is practically flawless. Detailing is fantastic. The image is lightly grainy, an accentuating grain that brings out the finest the film has on offer. Skin textures are incredibly rich and complex. There's an inherent textural ease about them, a natural, refined gentleness that finds that perfect middle ground between excessively sharp and unwanted softness. The easy-come complexity is reflective in extremely fine pores, striking clothing seams, and well-shaped environments, whether grassy surfaces or warm home interiors. Colors are beautiful. Saturation is wonderful, shades pop, and much like the details there's a natural middle ground of vibrancy meets restraint. A football field sequence in chapter seven is a standout. Green grass and gatorade cups, an orange cooler, and Cardinal red splash cross the screen in what is the most dynamic mix and color punch the movie has on offer. Even in less brilliant moments, the palette's natural vigor shines through. Flesh tones are handsomely neutral and black levels hold firm throughout. Source flaws are nonexistent, and there are no encode anomalies of which to speak. It would be interesting to compare this to a UHD release, but even without that option there's no mistaking this release as one of the best the Blu-ray format has on offer.

SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Jerry Maguire is a 1996 American romantic comedy-drama sports film written, produced and directed by Cameron Crowe, and stars Tom Cruise, Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Renée Zellweger. Produced in part by long time Simpsons producer James L. Brooks, it was inspired by sports agent Leigh Steinberg, who acted as Technical Consultant on the crew.[2][3][4][5] It was released in North American theaters on December 13, 1996, produced by Gracie Films and distributed by TriStar Pictures. The film received critical acclaim, with critics praising its acting and writing. The film was a financial success, bringing in more than $273 million worldwide, against its $50 million budget.[1] It was the ninth top-grossing film of 1996. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Tom Cruise, with Cuba Gooding, Jr. winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. The film was also nominated for three Golden Globes, with Tom Cruise winning for Best Actor, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards, with Cuba Gooding Jr. winning Best Supporting Actor.

this movie is a modern classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of Tom Cruise's finest performances. He plays a talent agent that leaves his agency, and tries to bring along his clients-unsuccessfully I might add, except for one football player, that puts his trust in Jerry's management skills. The movie however is about so much more than this. It's funny, touching, romantic, and is really about this man's journey through life and how one life can touch so many others. Renee Zellwegar is the love interest, and Cuba Gooding Jr is the football player in his Oscar winning performance. I don't want to give away too many details in case there are those that have never seen this wonderful film. I highly recommend it as it is full of great performances, and I think you'll laugh and cry through out.

A MUST-OWN classic... now even BETTER!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tom Cruise at his best... a CLASSIC! If you love this movie, and already own it on DVD or bought the previous Blu-ray release from years back, this is definitely worth the upgrade or "double-dip" in re-buying it. It leaps-and-bounds better than the DVD version and certainly outshines the previous Blu-ray release, as well. This Anniversary edition obviously went back the the original negative and did a whole new scan for this transfer. For a 20 year old movie... it looks AMAZING! With a new Blu-ray transfer, a digital HD copy of the film, a collectible booklet, AND an included complete Soundtrack from the film(on a separate disc), this 20th Anniversary edition of "Jerry Maguire" is DEFINITELY worth it!

The Best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The movie is one of the greatest ever made. There is FANTASTIC new documentary footage on this new release that makes it worth the price of the disc. I had a previous version, but upgraded because of the special features. You also get a soundtrack CD, which is currently keeping me company in my car. The manifesto that was written by Cameron Crowe is also included with the packaging. You can find this online, and it's sort of a cheap little booklet, so I wouldn't recommend getting just for that. Did I mention how great Bonnie Hunt is in the movie? She steals it from everyone else, per usual, and deserve to be a bigger star in 2017 and beyond. xoxo
