This strap attaches to the tripod mount at the bottom. The strap comfortably slings over shoulder and easily moves into shooting position. Holds the weight of my camera with a decent sized lens comfortably. Only down side is the sometimes the place where the strap attaches can be a bit in the way. Especially when I have a battery grip on the camera for holding vertically.

Screwing in on the bottom allows the camera to hang strate down and to one side and out of the way. Similar to a side hosted. You can not sit your camera flush with the surface since it screw in from the bottom which is one disandatage. You will have to unscrew it to use a tripod. All in all, its a good fit

I have always fought with camera straps. I don't feel comfortable without some sort of safety strap. I seen this style of strap on a video and had to try this one. I love it. It screws into the camera mount base and is less intrusive to operation. Works for me.
