You think you’ve seen it all when it comes to horror or sci-fi, but no way. This mixture of western post civil war action mixed with the bounty hunter from hell, who can talk to the dead easier then the living, really had me on the edge. Who do you root for, the kind of dead bounty hunter, or the man he thought dead who killed his wife and child for something he didn’t do. The movie was good, could have been better, yet I like it and glad I bought it. One thing about it, it could have been longer. I also think this could be the first of more. Watch for them. I will.

A good and entertaining movie, but not a great movie. I never read Jonah Hex comics so I don't know how accurate any of this is to the source. It's about a disfigured bounty hunter with one foot in the grave who seeks revenge on the man who betrayed him. It's an enjoyable, if strange movie. There is violence (a lot of people get shot) but not much gore (not a lot of blood).

For the comic book nerds, maybe they're upset but for someone who likes to watch movies and can appreciate what they're trying to do, it was good. It's not in my top ten but for what it is it was worth the price and time to watch. Don't go in comparing it to epic movies that you e seen or every fact you e read in comics and you will enjoy it for what it is.

One of the best "beginnings" I have ever seen!

If the beginning 5-10 minutes of the movie don't make you "sit up", then take the DVD out and get something else, 'cause you don't like excitement. At times the story line is stretched to fit the current scene, but I still liked all of the action. The phrase "Dead likes dirt and dirt likes dead", (or the reverse), still gives me the creeps sometimes.

This purchase was more about wanting the visualization of the comic, despite the obvious need to delta from those books to allow for a reasonable rating. While not the best work, I like Brolin and Malkovich, which made this worth the purchase.

    Good Not Great

Straight off the pages of the DC Comics Universe, Jonah Hex is an ex-confederate soldier looking emblazon the west with his own unique brand of justice. I feel it went back and forth and couldn't really get a grasp of it trying to be "straight" or "comic book-y". But with that said, still worth the $5.

If you like mindless violence without substance then this is definitely the film for you. Don't get me wrong, I like a good "shoot em' up" movie from time-to-time, but this movie had absolutely no point. It could've been a descent movie if the plot had been better.

Huge comics fan, especially DC. The animated movies are really a Trademark to movie making without a doubt! Wow I really wanted to like this but it was barely watchable! Unfortunately the director didn't think highly of jonah Hex.
