Four teenagers discover a mysterious video game from the '90s while serving detention, and are sucked into a virtual jungle when they try to play it. Transformed into various video-game characters -- a hunky explorer (Dwayne Johnson), a clever zoologist (Kevin Hart), a warrior babe (Karen Gillan), and a rotund professor (Jack Black) -- the group must trek through this strange new world if they want to survive. Directed by Jake Kasdan, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a sequel to the 1995 fantasy adventure Jumanji.~Jack Rodgers

This movie was funnier then I expected it to be. I am glad that I bought it at best buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The movie was funny good action very exciting, the only thing I had a problem with is the story about the game board, people still play game boards, but any way the way the game transformed into a video game that was silly, other then that it was a good movie.

A great advanture movie for the whole family. The movie is like Avatar
I wasn't sure about this movie as I'm not a fan of remaking classics. Especially when they involve the legend that is Robin Williams but I was pleasantly surprised with this reboot. They did a great job recreating Jumanji for a modern audience. The characters are excellent and I love that it takes place inside a video game. The movie has plenty of laughs and action throughout. There is even a few easter eggs for fans of the first film.
Overall, I really enjoyed this film. I was actually surprised by how much I liked it. I hope they can find a way to continue the Jumanji series as this cast works really well together. I definitely recommend it. 5 out of 5 stars
Over the years, I have come to appreciate Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's roles. I really started to appreciate him in the Fast & Furious series and then started looking for him in other flicks. He has his own brand of humor that goes hand in hand with his huge physique; he displays HEART! I also like Jack Black. I just bought "Welcome to the Jungle" to refresh my memory before watching "The Next Level," and I'm glad I did. All the characters play well off of each other and they all seem to be having FUN! With all the crap going on in the world, sometimes I just want to get a little buzz and forget about the world, while having a good laugh. This definitely fits that bill.
I thoroughly enjoyed Jumani: Welcome to the Jungle when I saw it in theaters, so having recently purchased my first 4K TV I was excited to get it on 4K UHD when it came out. Overall I would say that the transfer is great: the 4K looks lovely (of course) and the movie is still just as fun as ever. When watching with the family from 8-10ft away, I honestly can't tell any difference between the 4K and regular BluRay copies (both included), but when I pull up my chair for solo viewing at about 5 ft away, I definitely think the 4K version is sharper and more enjoyable. Very happy with my purchase!
When this was first coming out, I was afraid it was going to be a remake, and was skeptical.
Then they said it wasn't a remake, it was an update, the kids play a video game, and I thought 'cliche'.
But when I watched it... I loved it. The cast did such a wonderful job, it became an instant classic. Now I can't wait for the sequel to this one... then they have to stop. We all know once a movie series goes past the trilogy mark, the odds of success are slim.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" on 4K Blu-Ray is a fun and entertaining Buddy Movie that sends four high school friends into the jungle world of an old video game. There are thrills, suspense, danger, and most of all, humor throughout this movie. I would recommend it to the young and the young-at-heart.
