It is Just Dance, just portable...
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAfter dealing with numerous issues trying to play Dance Central on Xbox for the last couple of years trying to get my dance fix, Just Dance is a breath of fresh air (if you want breath of the wild, there is a Zelda game that will fit that need). Since the physical launch lineup for the Switch is limited, this was a good purchase to satisfy group play sessions and introduce others to the system (along with 1-2 Switch). Overall, it plays well, especially with the smaller joy-cons versus using something like the old Wii Controllers. The varied game modes are quite fun. The only concern is paying a fee to access song content, but after thinking about it, that may not be such a bad option considering you have access to all the songs rather than having to buy them individually. Also, you can pay for it only when you actually play the game. So if you stop playing for a few months, then don't pay for the song content. Access to the unlimited comes free for three months with the game. All that being said, is it worth full price? If this is your only gaming system, then yes. If you own a PS4, Xbox One or a Wii U, it is not necessary to buy this for the Switch as you can find it much cheaper on those systems. If you want a portable version of Just Dance that you can play anywhere, then look no further.

FUN GAME!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendNintendo for me has always been about having fun with my friends and playing games together with different people. The switch does not yet have a lot of those kind of games and Just Dance fills that void just fine. The best thing about this game is that anybody can play, even my grandmother, you can't say that about almost any other game. Sure there are many things that can be improved, more songs (you get a 3 month premium trial though), no mic, no video, no new features etc. But even with this in mind I still think Just Dance Switch is one of the must haves if you play the switch primarily with friends. Big bonus is that no extra controllers are needed since you can play with your phone. The portability of the switch is also a big factor in my scoring for this game, perfect at parties.

Great game, not so great pay-to-play model
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis game is a blast. I'm new to the Just Dance scene, but I really enjoy the way it plays and even the way it looks. If you're looking for a solid dance experience game on the Switch, this is surely your best (only?) option. However, don't forget - we're in 2017, and video games do pretty gross things sometimes. I'm not sure if this started with the 2017 version or has already been around for a while, but expect to cough up a lot more than just $60 for this game. After you buy it, you have to pay a subscription fee to access the entire tracklist, which stinks because the songs are great - there is something for everyone, and the songs are from across all decades going back up to 50 years. Back to the "subscription": I hate having to say that word because indeed, you don't even own the songs then. It's based on an amount of time you have access to them, then they expire. This allows for a dynamic experience with different songs and playlists that are uploaded over time, but you can wind up spending much more on this than you anticipated. I'm pretty sure it comes with a 3-month subscription if you buy the full, new game, so that was the only saving grace. My girlfriend was mad and already ready to just sell it once she learned of all this until I stumbled across that built-in subscription. We also got it on sale when it was $40 (plus Best Buy gamer club discount), so in hindsight, it's more palatable at that price. More video game news and reviews on the 2v1 Podcast on iTunes!

Can't Dance? No Problem!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI don't dance, period. I'm not the dancing type and I look more like I'm having a medical emergency than boogying down when I dance, if you want to call it that. My 7-year-old daughter saw a video for this game and was excited about it. I downloaded the demo for the PS4 and tried it myself before letting her play. I moved muscles I forgot I had and enjoyed myself more than I thought was possible. I later bought this game on the Switch because I prefer the feel of the JoyCons for this type of game. The phrase "dance like no one's watching" was definitely embodied in the few rounds I played before handing the controls to my kids and let them enjoy themselves. It's a fun game to play by yourself, and even more fun with a group of people.

Are we human or are we dancers?
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendSo to preface, I love Just Dance. This edition is great and works efficiently with the switch minus a few caveats. Given that the switch does not have any leg/Kinect functionality- it only detects movement on the upper plane. That is to say you can sit and dance and still get perfect scores (if you're a cheater). It still offers the game we know we love in this console- perhaps they'll add on more accessories before the next JD 2018 is released. Music wise I enjoy the selection but would love some more fast paced numbers- I'm hoping despacito is on the 2018 release!

Dance Fun
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis game is so much fun. It has tons of music for all different age groups with a large selection to choose from. You can save your favorite dance selection and you can dance along with others around the world. The video quality and sound quality is great. You can also use it as a exercise tool. You can also dance alone or with several different partners. Also if you don't know how to dance this game can teach you some cool moves. Just don't hurt anyone on the dance floor once you learn how to dance. Lololol...Overall this game is great for having fun with family or friends. Enjoy!

Fun to play
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendHad a lot of playing this with my family. Initially got it for a birthday party but played it before hand. Really like it on the Nintendo Switch. I don't have to worry about sensor bars or cameras for the game to sense our movements, which is a plus compared to the Wii versions of the past or the Xbox 360 Kinect versions. We are looking forward to the subscription service which will add to the longevity of the game. Only problem I had was the game did not connect to the servers a few times. Great other than that.
