Ken Burns' West was a let-down for me personally. I am 1/8 Cherokee and have a very sensitive spot when it comes to writers "re-writing" the history of the push westward. The thing that I kept hearing was "So-and-so DISCOVERED this-or-that" and then it would go on to say that Native Americans had used this or that place for something like a sacred site or a village, so they gave credit to the white settlers and explorers but they knew that all these places were known and "discovered" by the Native Tribes. It just kind of ruined the overall enjoyment of the series. And quite frankly, I thought Ken Burns would have been more sensitive to those Facts.
