Bought this as a deal of the day for 30% off. It's cheaper through the biggest online retailer there is. Anyway, got it in the mail today. A few things that I want to say. The quality for the price is pretty good...not the best for the money, but good. I read a lot of reviews that the magnet for the cap falls out and that's the only thing holding the pen in (no retention otherwise) so I am half expecting that at some point I will lose the pen. The machining is pretty good overall. There are a couple flaws though and I don't know if it is just mine or if all of them are like this. Number 1 is the fitment of the refill (you can see in photos here that this is design and not flaw) - it sits very far in and the tip of the refill doesn't stick out far enough - in my case, it sticks out 2.5mm from the tip of the pen, but I think it should sit about 4mm out from the tip of the pen. I may modify mine so that the rear cap has some additional length on it which will push the refill out. The 2nd issue and the one that I'm not sure if it is design or flaw is that the refill comes out the front (I can grip it with my Knipex XS Cobra pliers and it pulls all the way out). I don't understand why there is a rear cap that screws on and has an o-ring if the refill can just be inserted and removed through the front. The last thought I have, refill...is it readily available and how expensive is it? I didn't see anything listed on KeySmart's website about the refill (size, brand, they don't offer one). I will find one with a web search, but as an owner of many machined pens, it's always nice to have a list of compatible refills. The positive to the refill is now I don't have to carry multiple pens in my pocket (I usually have 2 different pens - Urban Survival Gear TiScribe-Bolt - one with a Fisher Space Pen ballpoint refill and one with a Pilot G2 0.38mm gel refill). The refill that comes with this writes decently for what it is. Now I can just carry one pen for most use and if I need something to sign a receipt, this KeySmart Nano Pen will do the job. I will update the review in the future if I have any issues with it and when the refill runs out.

Yes, it works! This is great to have if you don't want to use that pen that everyone else has used that's connected to the credit card scanner. You can add it to your key ring; or do what I do and attach it to a loop on my purse strap. It's convenient, small enough you don't notice it but easy to access because of the great magnet that keeps it secure and close by. I'm really happy with it.

It’s a little pen that can go on a key ring, which is handy. The only concern I have is that the pen part pulls off for ease of use, but then that means there’s a small risk of losing the pen. It makes sense, though, as it could be quite cumbersome to have the pen itself secured to the ring. Then again, it’s not like this is going to be your main pen for common usage.
