Awesome amp for subs!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went to Best But to get the Kicker KX1200.1 and found an open box KX1800.1 instead. To say the least I am not disappointed! This thing is a beast! Now beasts get hungry and you have to feed this thing by using 1/0 gauge oxygen free cable for sure. If not it will more than likely go into protection mode. Once installed with premium cable she roars!!! It has plenty of power to pound my alpine type R 12s. Gain barely turned up to about a third with plenty of headroom left! This Kicker KX1800.1 had some bad reviews but I think they are due to the installers not knowing what they are doing and not following the recommended wire gauge for installation. DO NOT SKIMP ON INSTALL WIRES and you will be amazed!!!

Great amp
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the cxa1800.1 on 2 l7 12s at 2ohms they are 750 rms each so 1500 rms together the amp is turned up about 75% and it will play for hours it doesn’t shut off like all the reviews say I am running Rockford Fosgate 1/0 gauge wire and a optima yellow top battery under the hood it does the job the only flaw with this amp is the mounting brackets are kinda small and thin I’m not to shur how it happen but I checked my amp and 3 out of 4 of them are broke I contacted kicker and they are sending me new ones I hope it doesn’t happen again I like the new kx amps with built in bracket kinda thing

amp pushes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.pushes the compr dual 12 box like its nothing more than enough power . added a pyle 5 cap to this and still have a factory stereo with cassette line to phone ... no need for a fancy radio amp isn't even turned all the way up ... not to mention i bought open box buys on both and still got the warranty . well worth the price it pushes more than best buy claims your certificate will show that

Some serious power
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This amp is really great allot more power than what I was expecting. This amp blew my old L5s so bought the newer L7s. The amp still had way more power than I need but that just means I need more bigger subs lol. Great amp overall.

Great quality amp
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had my old kicker kx1200 for over 10 years and it still works, so decided to stay with kicker. The cxa1800 is a great amp that allows me to run my subs at 2 ohm with a full 1800 Watts going to them. Another great feature about this amp is if I ever decide to down grade my subs I can still get 900 watts at 4 ohm

Q: QuestionThis 1800 W kicker amp 1800 W RMS
Asked by Nickelpl8.
- A:Answer These amps vary in RMS wattage the first one I bought had 1845 RMS. The 2nd one I bought had 1925 RMS. Kicker gives a certificate with each amp quoting the RMS rating for that amp. Each amp is tested individually and certified by kicker with nothing less than 1800 RMS wattage. The average is always above the 1800 RMS. Very good amp with a 3600 watt peak power.

Q: QuestionCan this amp push 2 kicker l7 q class 12” or 1
Asked by Creeps.
- A:Answer The short answer is yes, the Kicker 1800.1 can drive 2 L7 12’s. However the issues you would face are as follows: 1. How do you wire the 2 L7’s ? They are 2 ohms each which means wiring them in parallel would drop the resistance to 1 ohm. The 1800.1 is not listed as stable to 1 ohm . So you are wiring them in series which will keep the resistance at 2 ohms but now you maybe over driving the subs because he amp is rated at 1800 watts rms @ 2 ohms. A possible way around this maybe turning the gain way down to reduce the risk of blowing the subs. 2. Running an amp of the power the 1800.1 has you need to make sure your car’s electrical system can handle it. Maybe a larger alternator and possibly a second battery would keep the rest of the electrical components working smoothly while running that kind of power level from the amp. Again, the short answer is yes wired in series the 1800.1 can support running 2 L7’s but just wanted to give you a couple of areas to be mindful of. Good luck on your system.
