Very Good Combination
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really good budget / entry level combination to get a solid bass note in your car. The box is built well, and designed specifically for the sub. The amp is more than adequate to power it. Like any speaker, it does take some time to get broken in so that the response is cleaner. Your mirrors will shake, but the bass isn't going to rattle your eyes or make your vision blurry (to be expected with a single 12" and 250W amp). It won't be the crispest experience either. The sub honestly gets pretty muddy in the lower frequencies. It sounds like it really struggles < 30Hz or so. Still, for the price package I was able to get it for and 90% of the music I listen to (Rock, Top 40, EDM), it's a very good purchase. I recommend it to anyone not looking to obliterate their ear drums or eliminate all their trunk space. Doesn't get that 5th star from me because of the struggles on the far low end.

I impressed
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I have never had a sub in a car before. Maybe I'm not the best car audio expert. With that said, I know the difference between good and poor quality home audio. To me sounds great. I purchased the package on Cyber Friday last year. I wanted to wait until I had used it for a while before I reviewed it. Great sound quality, and the base hits hard enough that you will find all the lose items in you car ( lose panel screws, lose car jack and spare tire hold down bolts ect.). It is installed into an 06 Dodge Magnum. Very happy with Geek Squad install, and finally having real base. By the way my car came with the upgraded Boston Acoustics factory premium sound option. There is such a difference between having 6 6×9 speakers and what it sounds like now.

Not bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I stumbled across this package in an email for $149. For that price, it was well worth it. It’s not an ideal sub/amp pairing. The sub being SVC 4ohm, only uses half the amp’s rms. So you’re only getting 125 watts to the speaker. Two of these speakers would have been a better set up to take full advantage of the amp. It is a nice addition to an otherwise stock audio system though. I ended up swapping the SVC 4ohm with a DVC 4ohm compC 12”, wiring it for 2ohm to get the full 250 watts. I’m not sure I’d pay full price for this setup, but if you can get it on sale, $149 is a great buy.

Nice sound
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very impressed with this amp and the kit. Aside from the sound (which is great), the unit is solidly built and doesn't take up much space. The install kit is very impressive. The quality of the wires and connections are perfect. Very satisfied with the purchase. Using this in bridged mode with my Kicker 6.5 component door speakers.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it and was surprised on how small the amp was (haven't bought an amp in almost ten years) and was skeptical of the power and the sound it would produce. I love both. Perfect compliment to my current factory system putting out some serious bass.

Great starter sub set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This will be used in a friends car with a stock stereo. I been using aftermarket car audio for over 25 years & Im amazed at the quality for the price that you can now buy in brands like kicker or Rockford. For the record my typical system installs are 2000k watt rms & up so this is not for my ear's and will not be loud or boomy for some but its a great starter that allows you to keep your trunk.

Kicker Sealed Box & Amp
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ti be honest with you I didn't get a chance to keep this as plans changed and I ended up returning it back to BestBuy. But Kicker is a good audio brand. I recommend Kicker to anyone.

Q: Question2 Kicker 43DCWR122 COMPR12 2000W Dual 12" Car Subwoofers+Vented Sub Box Enclosure in a factory electrical system in a 99 honda civic .which amp.would work best the kicker xc800.1 mono amp or the pioneer d9601 mono amp?
Asked by Mike.
- A:Answer I’d run the kicker mono while wiring both subs to 1 ohm. The box you choose will make the biggest difference. Please stay away from pre-fab boxes. Please buy quality wires and have a good ground.

Q: QuestionDoes best buy install it in your car for free?
Asked by kels.
- A:Answer No. I don't know how much they charge in your area but their installation fee includes the kit and the adjustment but only for the volume of your radio not the adjustment for the base.

Q: QuestionIs geek squad installation included with the purchase?
Asked by KD.
- A:Answer No, it does not. For this particular sub and amp, it is $100 for amp installation, and $20 for the sub installation. You will need a wiring kit as well in order for them to install it. They will tell you which one it is when you set up an installation appointment.
