      Innovative for a Reasonable Price

This thermometer is quite innovative for a surprisingly reasonable price. It can be used to take one’s temperature in three different ways, so ultimately it can be used for every member of the family. I really liked that, in conjunction with the app, I could set up a profile for each family member and save temperature readings to the appropriate profile. I could see this being very useful for someone who needs to keep track of an ill family member’s temperature readings over time, or to track temperature readings (and additional symptoms you can select) over a specific period of time to report back to a doctor. I found the temperature readings to be accurate, which is the most important element of a thermometer, and I liked that the app asks how you are taking the temperature to account for variations on how a fever is determined based on where one’s temperature happens to be taken. It takes a temperature quite quickly as well – in about ten seconds – which is really great for anyone with wriggly kids! I do think that anyone using this has to be relatively tech-savvy though. My mother tried using it with me since she watches my children, and she found having to use it with a phone and an app to be less desirable and not as quick or intuitive than simply using a standard thermometer. But the set up was easy to follow, the thermometer works and doesn’t need any batteries since it plugs right into one’s phone, and the coupons and health tips offered through the app are a pretty cool bonus too. Thanks to the wee Spring Parent Panel for sending me this thermometer!

Amazing thermometer just gets better and better

And it just keeps getting better! They fixed that iPhone 6/6+ issue, sent new thermometers free of charge to all users, and added group tracking. Now not only do I have a device that makes taking the temps of two active toddlers easy it also helps track health issues near me so I know when there is an outbreak. This allows me to keep my eyes vigilant and get my girls treatment as soon as they are ill. Add in the beautiful UI and wonderfully formatted screen shots and I have an easy tool to sent readings to my physician. I can include as much as I need to give her the full picture of the kids health. Here is to more great improvement in the future. "So I had my first situation of needing to use this. My 3yo had a fever of 105 and I needed to keep track of the readings and symptoms to see if and when we needed to rush to the dr. Needless to say she wanted nothing to do with my temporal scanner. Que the Kinsa thermometer and it's wonderful app. I told her we were going to play a game and count the bubbles until we heard the voice. She loved it and most important I was able to keep track of all the readings and symptoms right there on the app. When the dr called I just read the symptoms to her and we were able to treat without a trip to the dr. Now she keeps asking to play the game :)"

I had heard good things about this thermometer, and had wanted to check it out. I was a little hesitant on the use of the app prior, but felt it would be worth checking out. The setup to first use was less than 2 minutes! It truly was one of the easiest setups I've ever done. Download app, add name, birthday, pic an icon, and gender, and plug in. It's that simple! No logins to remember either, which I appreciate! When your child is burning up or not feeling good you do not want to have to recall sign in info. The game while waiting was kind of fun. The reason for the 4 not 5 stars is that it seemed to take longer to get a readout than some regular thermometers and the ear version too, but not forever. My son even commented on that fact, and he's 5. It's pretty simple to add other profiles for multiple kids, each able to select a different color or icon. I like how you can add symptoms, check groups local to you for outbreaks, and even a resources tab with coupons! I also thought the fact it is easy to clean and not too heavy so works for all age groups. Overall, this would make a great gift for any caregiver with a smart phone. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this thermometer!

Skeptical at first but pretty cool....

I have 3 kids 5 years old and under. So my house is a constant circus. When I received this thermometer from the weespring panel to try out ( thank you weespring!), I was a little skeptical due to the added steps I had to do to set it up, rather than just grabbing our ear thermometer. It's really not hard to set up, it was just another task for a sleep deprived mama to do while handling a sick kid. But I am glad I did set it up because my 3 and 5 year old love this! The bubbles distract while taking their temp orally. It keeps track of symptoms and sicknesses which is cool for the forgetful moms like me. The group section seems awesome since my 5 yo is starting kindergarten in the fall, but I have yet to use this function. Also, I usually take multiple readings with an ear thermometer to get an accurate reading and with this I don't have to. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because it is really hard to use with our 9 month old baby. Taking a baby's temperature is hard enough, but when there is a cord attached to a phone attached to the thermometer....yeah....not fun. I highly recommend this thermometer for your kids.....it's pretty cool!

      Easy tempature taking

When your child is sick it is really hard to keep track of tempatures and what time you took them. Not with this thermometer! The Kinsa helps with that and much more. It gives you three option for check tempature, which include oral under arm and rectal. After you done taking the tempature you are able to save it under your child so they are all in one place on your phone. It also gives your child and little game to play while they are waiting for their tempature to be taken! Another plus is that it came with its own case for storing!! All in all this thermometer takes the pain out of tempature taking its simple to use entertaining to kids and attaches right to your phone, which if your like me is always next to me! I would recommend this for a family thermometer. A big thanks to the weespring parent panel for sending me this to try!

I got this on sale, so super good price. It seems to work very well. I like that it can be used in mouth, armpit or...um, you know where. I recommend you pick one and stick to it. The device requires a standard headphone jack which is only an issue if you have a recent iPhone (which I do). If you use the adapter, it will still work. The free app let’s you make individual profiles and even seek recommendations based on temp and symptoms. Not needing it’s own batteries is great. It seems the batteries are always dead when you reach for other thermometers. The one odd thing is that you need to insert an odd adapter between the phone and thermometer for initial setup. You only need it once, but have to keep it on hand if you ever get a new phone or want to use more devices. All the accessories fit nicely in the included case.

      Great Thermometer!

I have been dying to try this thermometer for my kids so a big thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this thermometer! The Kinsa Smart Thermometer is easy to set up . Just download the app and there are easy instructions to follow. We used this as a rectal thermometer since my kids are young. The tip is flexible and it seems more comfortable for my son than other thermometers we have tried in the past. The readings are extremely fast and it's easy to assign the readings to profiles in the app. Not only that, but the app includes instructions on what to do, depending on if there's no fever, or mild/moderate/high fever. There are also additional options on the app to leave notes for medications given and any symptoms being experienced. This thermometer was also very easy to clean and comes with a handy little case to store everything in to keep it away from little hands. I would highly recommend this Kinsa Smart Thermometer to anyone, but especially to parents.

      Great value

One of the best features of the Kinsa Smart Stick Digital Thermometer is that it uses your phone for power, as opposed to batteries. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve reached for our temporal thermometer in the middle of the night to discover that the batteries were either low or dead. The Kinsa can give varying temperature reads but I’ve found that the consistency of other thermometers is about the same – invariably you’ll get a read that is a degree off from the previous one. It seems par for the course when dealing with squirmy kids. Multiple family profiles, temperature logs, and ease of use are all positives in my book. You can also use this thermometer via underarm, rectally or orally – personally I think it’s easier to go the temporal (forehead) route, but for the price this is a great value. I received this product as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel.
