Customers are delighted by the 21.8 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator's perfect size, which includes a big drawer that can fit a large pizza box.
I had a side by side in the house we just bought and had to decide what to buy in the food market based on the small space. couldnt stock up items on sales. We like the big drawer for large pizza box. i cant seem to fill the drawer because, it is so big. wished ther ed were separator inside drawer but not now that i have had refrig 3 weeks. i moved the things we use most to the right side to get at those items easier. will buy another door bin for small items. put 2 lazy susans on 2 different shelves. one is for dairy items like sour cream, yoghurt, margarine, etc, one for small containers for leftovers. put all leftovers on this shelf too. thinking about using butter box for the cheese my husband is eating. then he won't need to work as much to get a snack. love extra drawer in the freezer to separate items and all the drawers ride so easily. Not big ice users, but like that ice drawer opens separately, and has ice scoop. i like small sized cubes so i can get a small cube to cool my coffee just a bit. i think ice maker belongs in a freezer ... not a second freezer inside a refrigerator. we liked having only a water dispenser and not on the front of the door to spoil the clean lines. and you gain 2 sq feet of refrig space - huge for a counter depth refrig. water inside is very slow so we will remove the filter as we were told by repair man this will help. will also save $100/year in filter replacement costs - we have great water here. the installer took away the blue plug needed if you do not use the filter so look out for it when refrig is delivered. kitchenaid sent us one no charge. we had very nice experience with the service rep twice. see below too. .the metal plate on both sides that hold the bottom of each door is bent down so the door flap doesnt catch into a channel and flip under the right door properly. this happens if the left door is closed after the right one is already closed. we called cust service, a repair man came and ordered new parts under warrantee. said he has seen this before and new part fixes issue. repair man said refrig does not need much service and would not get a service contract. even with water in door styles, it costs only $200 for those parts so he wouldnt recommend a contract for them either., kitchenaid contract is less money than the store offered and it can be bought during first year of warantee instead of before the unit is delivered. we bought a returned refrig. store said it was too tall for 1st customer. it is almost 72 inches tall, not 71 like it is listed on some web sites. and we liked our huge open box savings too. one dimple on freezer door. it cost $250/yr to run 10 year old frig left behind when we bought this house. so we save more than $200 a year with this new refrigerator. wow! all our issues with old refrig are gone now. all our desires are met. and we just bought 3 margarine tubs on sale. my sister is getting one.

love the look, inside is spacious, actually like the water spout inside the fridge instead of outside, big freezer, just noisy, not crazy loud but a little noisy when it turns on to do its thing.

We recently updated our kitchen and wanted a counter depth french door refrigerator without the ice/water in the door. This was the perfect choice. Plenty of room for everything. Water dispensor inside is very convenient.
