LOVE IT!!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like me, you probably read every review on every dishwasher out there. I have to say, as a mom of 3 kids under 3 (crazy I know) this dishwasher meets everything on my checklist that I was looking for. 1-Stainless steel interior 2-Finger print resistant 3- A Quick wash option. 4- Not Expensive. I have been using this dishwasher daily since March 2018. Using mainly the Express wash with extended heat. I am very happy with the results. It's about 1hr wash. As a mom, that's great! The number of bottles and sippy cups I use daily, 1 hour wait is nothing. I have used the Normal wash and it's about 2hr wash with the extended dry cuz face it, there's not a dishwasher out there that will dry everything completely so any extra bit helps. Some people's expectations on drying I have read is crazy. The 3rd rack on the model is a bonus. Yes, like most people gripe about, the height is tight. My baby bottle nipples don't fit, not a big deal. I put them on the top rack. What does fit are all my sippy cup tops and parts, large knifes and spatulas. If you don't like the 3rd rack, remove it. It's Removable people! It's super quite. I have a few times opened it cause I couldn't hear it. So sound quility is great. It has a LED screen on the front to let you know what it is doing so an added bonus that Kitchen aid never mentioned. I am not one who has to have all the bells and whisles. I am a working mom and wife that needs a dishwasher to clean, clean quick and well. By the way, I still rinse my dishes before I load them just out of habit. I did leave a few dishes & silverware caked with stuff a few times to test. Well, it passed with flying colors. Since I do rinse my dishes, I hardly ever clean the manual filter that it has. One more thing to add. With 3 sets of little hands running around, the PrintShield finish on the dishwasher is Amazing. Just a simple wipe down, that's it. So what more can you ask for. Great Dishwasher and I would recommend this model to anyone, especially ones with kids :)

Great, when it works...
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dishwasher September 2018, and it worked great up until mid August 2019. It was extremely quiet, got the dishes cleaner than I thought any dishwasher possibly could, and looked great in my kitchen while doing it. One day in mid-August 2019 the dishes started smelling like dog stink. I did not think much of it, but my wife persisted. Then she noticed there was standing water in the bottom of the dishwasher. I did not contact BestBuy, because it was under factory warranty, I instead contacted KitchenAid's website and it walked me through setting up a service call. This is when the problems really started. The service shop in my area is Diamond Factory Service, an authorized repair shop for KitchenAid . First off, they arrived a day early. Strange, and we told them to come back at the scheduled time and day. The day they were supposed to come, they were late. They finally showed up, ran some codes, and said the control board was bad. They set up an appointment, came late again to swap the board, and the problem persisted. I set up another appointment, they came late again, ran some codes, and this time said the drain level switch was bad. They set up a date about a week later to change it, and the morning of they called to at least tell me they will be late. Then about an hour before they are scheduled to arrive, they call again saying they forgot to order the part and it will be another week. I am nearing the end of my warranty at this point and am quite frustrated, understandably so considering that I am having these problems with a supposedly high end, $750 dishwasher. Not just with the dishwasher, but the fact that KitchenAid works with and sent me to a seemingly incompetent "authorized" service shop, who cannot even arrive on time yet alone diagnose and fix the problem. To wrap this up, they come late again to replace the level sensor, and it still does not work. I am out of warranty and am letting anyone considering this product know the full story of how KitchenAid will treat you after spending a lot of money on one of their premium products. I just wrote to KitchenAid's support center to voice my displeasure, and hopefully get a new dishwasher that actually works. I will update this review based on their actions.

Remarkable machine but word of advice...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really have nothing to add that hasn't already been mentioned in the many thoughts others have posted here but I did want to share a thought. I had my machine delivered and installed yesterday. Because of my curious nature, I couldn't help but want to check the filter at the bottom of the tub (namely because today's machines have these easily accessible compared to my last machine which was 11 years old). I was surprised to see gunk (including a small piece of blue plastic) already spread across the filter and some sitting at the bottom beneath it! My next thought was whether this was a previously used machine , or somehow this was overlooked from the manufacturer or if the installation kit used from Best Buy has these components in the draining tubes and made it's way to the filter after the first test run by the installation team. So my advice would be to have the installation team observe the content and cleanliness of the installation kit and filter before leaving your property. I ran a full cycle to clean the washer and it and the subsequent dish washer yielded no additional clutter in the filters or elsewhere so all is good as of this review. I'll update if that changes.

It washes dishes. It is quiet.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The KitchenAid is a replacement for my failed dishwasher. I picked up at Best Buy warehouse, installed myself. Dishwasher is very quiet compared to the one it replaced. It gets the dishes clean and dishes are dryer. I purchased this model for the third rack. I find that I do not use the third rack as much as I was thinking. I am happy with the purchase.

Q: Questionthe finish bottom of the dishwasher door panel seems to be peeling up as if a piece of plastic wrap but I think it is the actual finish. what should i do?
Asked by ann.
- A:Answer I am having the same problem. I think we should start a Class Action lawsuit against KitchenAid. It is clearly a manufacturing issue and they are hoping we will go away. Anyone else interested in filing a suit against KitchenAid as a Class?

Q: QuestionDoes the black area on the front of the dishwasher display a light or any numbers while the dishwasher is in use?
Asked by Sarah.
- A:Answer It displays dashes - - - - - - which disappear one by one as time elapses on the cycle. When there are no dashes left it displays the word clean. It’s very subtle.

Q: QuestionThe height states 34.5 inches but cutout height states 34. My cut out is 34 in. high. Will this fit?
Asked by CC.
- A:Answer Yes. i called Kitchenaid with the same question. They found in the manual that the size will work by lowering the bottom to the floor without the 4 little pillars and if needed, pare down the insulation above. My unit was installed at 34.5 inches and fits and looks fine.

Q: QuestionPlease show how the top should be loaded with forks, spoons and knives. The grooves do not hold the utensils in place.
Asked by Skylar.
- A:Answer I don't use it for silverware - I use it for silicone spatulas, the flat beaters of a stand mixer, even the sink mat (which cleaned up beautifully). I think larger items would do better there that smaller utensils.

Q: QuestionHow quiet is the washer when it is running?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The dish washer is very quite. Sometime you forget it is running in the background. If you stand next to it you will hear the water drain into sink (very little sound). I'm happy with this model.
