Adequate
|Posted .Somewhat disappointed in this dishwasher as it does not clean as well as it should and does not get the dishes completely dry. Something that costs this much should do an excellent job. However, it is much, much better than the Bosch we just got rid of. The racks slide out much more smoothly and it has a better configuration for loading dishes. It also has the controls on the outside of the door where you can see them. With the Bosch, we had a serviceman out 7 times for repairs before they refunded our money.

Great dishwasher for an amazing price!
|Posted .I'm a first time Kitchen Aid appliance owner and I am very satisfied with my purchase. Dishwasher was easy to install, very easy to use and most of all, it is VERY quiet! I'm very pleased and would recommend this product!

Better than expected
|Posted .I decided on this item because of the free installation and quiet feature that other reviews rave about. It's only been a week and so far so good. For the price point I'm impressed with the features, large capacity, stainless inside, looks very nice, and the best part - - it's almost barely audible. And yes, it removes even stuck on spaghetti sauce which I did on purpose and left no residue. The old unit I replaced work just fine but unbearably loud especially in a condo. Wish I replaced sooner.

This is a real Kitchen Aid.. Dishwasher.
|Posted .Super quiet. Racks are smoothest rollers ever! Also top one adjusts for extra space. 2 problems: The rubber gasket in dispenser slide door came out after 10 washes. Can't get it back without taking all apart? Other (minor) issue is the delay timer only has 4 hr. delay.. Others have more choices. Not a deal breaker. Overall I'm happy. Thanks.

Great price for name brand
|Posted .Purchased at discount price for a stainless tub. Very quiet and efficient cleaning. Must lock controls between uses or slight bump or brush by them will start the dishwasher. Annoying but not that inconvenient. Installed in an older kitchen so it sticks out a little more than I expected. The lock and fitting made this a 4 versus 5 rating

Q: QuestionWhat is noise level of dishwasher?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It is so quiet I don't even know it is running.

Q: QuestionIs installation included? Hallaway of old dishwasher
Asked by Rick.
- A:Answer All of it can be included for an extra fee. and if you don't pay for hallaway you have to disconnect and move your old machine yourself, which is irrational - if you already have the technician there- why not let him do it? my experience with the delivery and installation was horrible though - they rescheduled a few times, and when it was finally triple confirmed for 8-12 one day they delivered it at 4 PM that day, claiming that my scheduled window was 12-4. I had to send them their own email and voicemail confirmations to prove that they were wrong! customer service was quite helpless to change anything in that situation so I had to wait 8 hours, instead of 4 and had to cancel all of my plans for the day. also, the installers were disorganized - they kept losing the screws and couldn't screw the machine in for over an hour, going back and forth to their car bringing one piece of equipment at a time, instead of brining the whole toolbox. so I ended up giving them my own screws and a screwdriver that they needed. for the amount they charge for the installation - this is insane!

Q: QuestionAm concerned about the side vents. What does this mean in terms of installation? It will be completely enclosed in my cabinet. Will this work?
Asked by legs.
- A:Answer Yes, the dishwasher will work, but do some research on side vents and you'll see that over time the moisture will soak into the insulated wrap and then get onto the adjacent cabinet wall/ floors/ mold/ etc.. The 20 year old "professional" installing your dishwasher could care less about what happens a couple years from now when he's no longer around. Most people have no clue this problem exists.

Q: QuestionHOW TO LOAD SILVERWARE IN THE BASKET FOR MY NEW KITCHENAID 24 WITH THE SLOTS ON THE BASKET
Asked by VICKI.
This question was asked about the related product: KitchenAid - 24" Built-In Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub - White- A:Answer If you're having difficulty with the basket with the slots, you can always take the tops off and then load the silverware in that way. I find that my silverware is too wide at the bottom and I can't get it down in the slots. That's how I solved for my issue

Q: QuestionWhat type of dish washing detergent should I use for best results?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Kitchenaid recommends Cascade platinum tablets , which is their most expensive product, and they claim you must use the rinse aid in order for the dishes to dry, but I tried using my regular Cascade gel without the rinse aid and it worked fine.
