Reviewing after 10 months ( used 4-5 times a month exclusively for smoothies): I would definitely purchase again, but buy the extra protection coverage!! For the first 3-4 uses, on the highest setting, the noise level was nothing more than a smooth hum. It's gotten progressively louder, rivaling the ear splitting roar of a Ninja. Blending is very smooth, it even gets blueberry bits pretty darn small. However, it can take up over minute for results at times due to the ingredients shooting up to, and sticking to the top even when the consistency of what youre blending is applesauce thin. It's especially bad on the cups, so we rarely use them. Oh, and the blade isn't removable, so stuck on food is a hassle. Overall I love this blender, but I'll definitely be visiting GS soon about the sound.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this. I've had two other ones that came from walmart & they both leaked & were loud. This one is PERFECT!!! I will NEVER buy any other brand again.

Great blender that comes with personal jars for the smoothies you need. I was looking to simplify my kitchen. I just had so much clutter and junk taking up alot of space. The KitchenAid K150 was perfect in that it is considered a full-sized blender but is fairly small with a small footprint. This package also came with personal jars for smoothies which was icing on the cake. Right out of the box, I knew I found what I wanted. The design was fairly minimalist with only one knob and three speeds. Inside the box you have the main 48 oz jar with its lid, the blender base, two 16 oz personal jars with its lids, and blade assembly for the personal jars. The build was mostly plastic but still felt durable. Only time will tell but I am pretty optimistic. Use is very easy. You just dial up from 0-3 or down to pulverize ice. At first, I was disappointed with only 3 speeds. However, I realized that you really don't use the blender in the middle speeds very often. I know this may frustrate those that love their 10 speeds, but for the average person, 3 did not matter. In fact, it simplified things. When you turn the dial to 3, it slowly increases the speed instead of suddenly going to top speed. This helps keep things less messy. In terms of performance, let's dissect it. It crushed ice very well which is to say it lives up to its name. It did great in most fruit smoothies. I will say that the top speed is not Vitamix level, but it still got the job done. I was happy with the homogeneity of the result. It can do soups well. I poured hot soup into this and had no problems. This blender did struggle with the tougher vegetables and fruits. Things like kale, carrots, and even apple skins that are tougher and more fibrous were not fully incorporated. Cleanup is really simple as everything is dishwasher safe. All in all, I am happy with this blender. It is a bit on the pricier side due to the KitchenAid name premium. However, if you want a nice and simple blender that performs well then you should consider the K150!
