This product is pretty basic, and makes it quite easy to add large amounts of food to the hopper. However, I have a few complaints: 1. The plastic is ugly and white, whereas most of the stand mixer attachments are steel and generally have good finish. 2. Because it's so long, the weight actually makes the hopper bend forward a bit. I don't think it's an issue that impedes operation, but a better solution would have been a hopper that is circular and wide to avoid stresssing things in any one direction.

when making applesauce - able to finish 16 qt pot in an hour... by hand it may take a few hours and a very sore arm.

The KitchenAid-Large Food Tray-White works fantastic. Does what I expected it to do.
