Klipsch nails it!
Posted .I added this unit to my home theater to complete the 7.1 system. I have owned Klipsch and Klipsch-made products in the past and I have always been completely satisfied with the quality and sound. The sound is amazing. This unit has a built in knob for gain and another for frequency. It makes the whole room (and probably the whole house) shake turned up to just half gain. I've been playing around with the frequency. I was skeptical about getting really low bass from an 8" sub but this unit doesn't disappoint at all. All of the audiophiles that I talked to recommended that I go with Klipsch. It was a bit more expensive than I had planned but it completes my system and I don't have to regret not buying "a little better". My house shakes
||Posted .I had a set of Infinity mini speakers and the sub died. I decided that it was time to look into good speakers. I wanted the best sound for the money, and I wanted it to be reasonably priced. I was buying a set of the Klipsch Icons and wanted a sub to handle the lows. After listening to the sub, my search was over. It's not just about how loud it can get, or how low... but about how well it does it. When I play music I can have it booming or subtle. My house shakes when things blow up on tv (with the volume up), but it's not constantly overwhelming. Either way it's clean and sounds great.

This is a top quality sub for any system.
||Posted .I couldn't be happier with this powered subwoofer. I replaced an expensive 10" unit that just didn't give me the deep clean sound or the punch I was looking for. The moment I plugged in this unit and adjusted the settings just right, I was amazed at the difference. High quality deep and clean sound without the overwhelming noise that came out of the old 10" unit. This 8" Klipsch works equally well for both music and surround sound movies. It sounds great without having to crank up the volume too much. I have been amazed to be able to hear things I couldn't hear before replacing my older unit. I now have all Klipsch speakers and I love the results. These are not the least expensive speakers around, but they provide incredible sound. Better than the sound of some other even higher priced systems, these Klipsch speakers are a great value. I have a very picky ear when it comes to music and surround systems, I now enjoy my all Klipsch system and I use it even more because the sound is so good. Don't waste time or money on other speakers. Save up and get the Klipsch towers, surrounds, center channel and this subwoofer and you are set.

Great product
Posted .I purchased this product after comparing 4 different subs: The Klipsch 450 ($450), the Polk 10" 200W ($125), the Polk 8" 300W ($306), and the item above. I turned each sub to full power @ 3 different crossover levels, lowest range, mid range, and upper range. My goal was to get the best bang for the buck. All the subs were loud and were effective at shaking the shelves at the high range setting. Where the Klipsch subs excelled was the low range, bone vibrating, settings. I quickly eliminated the Polk 200W due to some issues with fade and distortion. The second sub to be eliminated was the Klipsch 450. At a substantial volume, both 300W subs were easily handling the frequency range, therefore I didn't need the 450W. The determining factor between the Polk 8" & the Klipsch 8" was the low range bass - which produced must stronger sound. After bringing it home, it easily filled my 30' X 20' room with wall shaking sound. I adjusted the crossover, limiting the sub to the low range bass, and got exactly what I was looking for. The price was $380 out the door, but reasonable for such a powerful product.

Klipsch This
||Posted .I needed a new speakers and started with an upgrade to my Sub. I chose the 350W after hearing both the 450 and 350 at my BB store. Also the sales associate really won me on this after he also bought this one and highly recommended it. Have not been disappointed. In fact, all my DVD's now sound better than the movie theaters themselves.

Amazing Performance for a Low End Subwoofer
Posted .Subs run the gamut in pricing and some pricing ranging from about $100 to over 4 figures. This Klipsch SW 350 is definitely priced on the lower end but don't let that fool you when it comes to performance. It can reach low and rumble and thump down to 31 Hz and it can be musical and bring incredible life to your CDs and MP3s. I replaced a 10 year old Cambridge Soundworks BassCube 12 that bit the dust and popped annoyingly each time it fired up and turned off based on LFE signal from my Onkyo SR705 amp. And I couldn't be happier. It's much more accurate bass allowed me to enjoy my Blu-rays again. PROS: 1) Accurate and tight bass that works well with both a HT and music 2) No annoying popping sound when the sub amp comes on or switches off based on amplifier LFE signal (has Full ON/OFF/Auto On 3 way switch) 3) Nice and small footprint with easy to keep clean cabinet texture 4) Great build quality and nice set of controls and input methods 5) Affordable pricing CONS: 1) Doesn't reach down as low as a larger 10 or 12 inch driver but that's expected 2) Slightly less accurate down low especially with precise music such as jazz 3) Documentation slightly lacking All in all, I am being extremely nitpicky with my list of CONS. This sub is a marvel of engineering for its ability to manage to be both accurate enough for most music and deep and extended enough for your HT setup. For clarification, I have setup my Onkyo amp to cross over at 80Hz for my Mains and Center Channel, which is the THX setting and is generally a recommended point. Anything below is offloaded to the sub via the LFE Pre-Amp output via RCA cable. I also set my LPF to "Bypass" and set the LPF of LFE within the setup menu on my Onkyo to 120Hz, which is also highly recommended by HT enthusiasts. Bass management is essential to making sure your system sounds its best without the lows being "muddy".

More than I could ask for.
||Posted .OK so I live in an apartment so I can't crank this out, but it can keep clear even at low volumes. I've let it loose a few times and it shakes the whole unit. The sound is awesome, it is very adjustable to meet all my needs now and when I move on. I can see this being a sub I keep for a long time. I'm no audiophile, but I know quality. It is perfect for anyone, like me, who doesn't know enough to know who to buy. It's your next level woofer, that is probably for the next few levels as well.
