One word, WOW!
Posted .Recently decided to buy a new pc at BB (BTW the only place I would trust with any electronics purchase) so I figured lets upgrade the sound system as well. I had previously talked to a sales rep. at BB about these and tried them out and found out they are great but at the time price was a must so i went with the logitech system that is almost similar to this one and cheaper. Don't get me wrong nothing against the Logitech but these ones are way better! The sound is very powerful, very clean and simply amazing. Also the subwoofer is really powerful. If you love playing music on your pc then these are the right speakers for you. Price is not that bad considering there are other products out there that are more expensive costing up to $400 (bose) and from the research i've done and the reviews i've read this one blows the more expensive systems away. Installation was very simple and easy for me. Trust me I have owened several speaker systems and this one is the best one of them all.

You'll keep these through many computers.
Posted .I have yet to hear a set of computer speakers that are as natural and clear or have the punch of these great speakers. The subwoofer bass is tight without sounding muffled or muddy, you'll feel it without losing the balance of live music. The satellite speakers have tone and volume controls in a convenient location, and achieve clean volume you will not believe. You owe it to yourself to check these out. I only wish I could hook them to a real audio system. Room filling sound so natural you can feel the stage lights. I own a lot of speakers and these are hands-down my favorites.

Satellite Quality You Can Hear
Posted .With production ending for Klipsch's powerful Promedia Ultra 5.1 system and its 60 watt RMS satellites, the Klipsch 2.1 inherits the computer speaker throne. Klipsch built its reputation with fine home and professional speakers, and it is the speaker quality that puts the Promedia 2.1 (and 5.1) far above other computer speaker brands. Don't be fooled by just comparing amplifier power. A) Small improvements in speaker efficiency can make a system much more dynamic (louder) than a competitor boasting twice the wattage! B) Look closely at Klipsch's satellites and you will see a separate tweeter and woofer (a nice crossover is inside, too). Other brands put a single driver into their satellites, and stretch it to try to reproduce all sounds above about 120 Hz. Klipsch's tweeter/woofer combination can reproduce the range of frequencies with fewer dips and annoying, harsh peaks in frequency response. The 6.5 " subwoofer sounds larger than it is because of a well-tuned enclosure. It is not as crisp as a sealed sub, but it fills a room. The 2.1's weakness is a cheap plastic connector to connect the preamplifier to the back of the sub. Be careful that you do not pull that plug sideways nor remove it by pulling on the cord. Take care of that plug, don't drive the speakers to the point of distortion, and you will enjoy a quality computer speaker system for many years.

Absolutely Perfect, Full, Rich sound
Posted .I first picked up the Logitech 2.1 equivalent and was sorely disappointed. Brought them back to BB (who happlily exchanged them) for the Klipsch set. I was blown away by the incredible difference with these superior speakers. I've had them now for 6 months without issue. Sound:Everything played from classical to rock has pulled through with intense detail, solid separation, and colorful richness. I was most concerned with getting a good midrange that would pull the full spectrum together, and these have it. There are no "blank spots" in the sound - no level overpowers the other- it's all good. Construction and appearance: The satellites are solid and classy black with the proudly displayed and well deserved Klipsch/THX logo. One of the satellites includes volume and bass adjustment. The subwoofer is compact and unobtrusive (the Logitech was rediculously oversized). The power button is located on the subwoofer but isn't an issue as it is left on 24/7 without issue (the Klipsch website says it's no problem). Overall: I got the quality I was looking for and expected from Klipsch. Since I plugged these into my computer, my wife has had to remind me of the neighbors and the fact that there are other rooms in the house. I've become addicted to what are easily some of the best speakers - computer or otherwise - I have ever owned.

Best computer speakers available!
Posted .After doing some serious reviewing, I chose these over the Logitech Z2300's. Why? I'm an audiophile, and appreciate good sound. While the Logitech gives off the impression of terrific sound, I realized , like many cheaper systems, the naturality just wasn't there. It sounded terrific on the show floor, and actually was my first choice, until I took a better listen at a Best Buy store, and realized the Klipsch just have what many people might not hear at first listen - a terrific midrange. The single small driver in the Logitech's just didn't do it for me, and that's what I'll be looking at 95% of the time - not the sub. I'm a fan of black, so these fit right in with the rest of my system. The cheap speaker wire was disappointing. I guess Klipsch has a better set on their website - for a price. I had a set of Altec Lansing ACS-45's, and they were terrific. These sound better than those, which I had for a decade. I'm glad Klipsch is still making these - there's a reason Klipsch hasn't updated them in so long, and it's because no one's stepped up to offer a better quality system - yet. (and please don't get me started on Bose...) As always, listen before you buy!

Best of the Best
Posted .Just got these on sale for $99. They are by far the best PC/Multimedia speakers you can buy. Better than Bose, better than Logitech. I have bought a lot of different brands of these including Logitech and Altec Lansing and one thing they all have in common is the bass SUCKS. Good thing you can bring them all back to Best Buy for a full refund... The bass on these things is nothing short of incredible. I cant believe the amount of sound it puts out. I opened one of the satellites because I heard something rattling, it turned out to be just a tiny piece of clipped wire. As I was looking around inside I noticed that they pack these things with some kind of sound deadener which you wont find on a lot of other brands. It keeps the sound tight and keeps things from rattling around. Anyways, I am very meticulous with my music and speakers, and the sound that comes out of these things. You will not be disappointed at all with this purchase. I cant stop listening to my ipod with these because all of the songs sound different being that there are so many more details I could not here before.

Best computer speaker purchase ever!
Posted .I did a lot of digging around online to find out which computer speaker would be a great investment. After first purchasing creative lab's xifi xtreme gamer sound card, I bought this speaker set. It was incredibly easy to set up. The sound quality is amazing. I am a die hard infinity speakers fan and I have to admit that these sound better than the speakers in my car! The highs and mids were very clear and probably more so than the bose system for $200. At most I turn the volume up 25% since the sound travels very nicely throughout my 1500 square foot apartment. I was most impressed with the bass response from the ported subwoofer. I am a sealed box fan myself, and this sounds better than a Kicker Solo Baric L5 subwoofer (A $400 car subwoofer) in a ported box! I would definitely buy it again if I ever need a second pair! The only drawback I have is the power switch for the speakers are on the back of the subwoofer. It makes it a bit of a pain to get to and I read somewhere that someone just used the switch on a power strip to turn it off.

Great Sound Overall
Posted .This really is a great sounding system but I was somewhat letdown by the subwoofer. After a day or so I decided to buy the Logitech Z-2300 system and run my own comparison test. I should add that these speakers also serve as the audio component of the low-budget A/V system I have set-up in my office. This means that not only did I compare music, I also compared movie and video game sound. The advantage the Klipsch had in overall clarity wasn't enough to overcome how much stronger the Logitech system sounded. I rarely listen to my music very loud but I'd like my system to be able to handle it when I do. The Klipsch subwoofer begins to sound muddled at, what I consider to be, a very low threshhold. The Logitech handled the same level of input and then some. This is NOT to say the the Klipsch system does not offer deep, rich bass. However, it's when the volumes increase that it begins to show it's weakness. If you're leaning more towards clarity and have less interest in a "booming system" I would recommend the Klipsch system in a heartbeat.
