I was very hesitant to buy this speaker after hearing it in the store but thankfully I trusted the reviews and went ahead and bought it. I'm not sure what they did to make it sound that bad in the store but I was pleasantly surprised when I hooked it up at home. Coming from a smaller set of Infinity primus theater pack to this is like night and day, the klipsch has so much more fuller and louder sound than what I had that I really can't compare the 2 different sets and it just makes me wish I would have upgraded years ago! I bought this and a set of KF-26 Floor standing speakers and they sound awesome together and I can actually hear the voices in movies now without having to wake the neighborhood although I can wake them if I really felt like it with this setup! The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that I feel it's a bit overpriced when you can buy a reference series ll center channel speaker for $50 to $100 more and have better looking and better sounding speaker although that is my thoughts on how they sound and might sound differently to you but I do recommend listening to both before buying. I still highly recommend this speaker as it still sounds better than any other center channel that best buy carries including in the magnolia section of the store. Have fun shopping and enjoy building your new system as much as I did!

I decided to upgrade my current Polk Audio system because it seemed like my 12” sub was losing its punch after having the system for roughy five years. I decided to go with these copper woven Klipsch speakers after reading all the great reviews on the net and I’m glad I did. These speakers sound awesome and they look great to boot. I spent roughly $1300 on a 5.1 system which isn’t chump change but I knew I wanted good stuff so I had to pay for it. The floor standing speakers sound so nice that they even provide a very good amount of bass on their own. Couple them to the 10” sub and things start really shaking in my house. The center channel has me hearing voices in certain movies that I never heard with my previous Polk Audio system. All in all this is one sweet system that I know I will enjoy for several years.

Unless you are hardcore about your audio, this (coupled with 8" reference towers) is probably the best speaker you could buy for your music and/or home theater needs. The Reference line of speakers essentially gives you Klipsch quality at big box store price. I did extensive research and listening tests since I'm not a baptized audiophile, and I'd guess these are about 90% of the speaker you would get if you splurged on a higher model, so great value. Re: this center channel specifically,it performs flawlessly. It is clear and crisp and does exactly what you'd expect it to in terms of being the main source of audio and making dialogue crystal clear. Last thing, don't buy this or any other Reference speakers at full price. If you can get them 50% off at black friday, do that. That's when I bought the complete 5.1 setup. They often go on sale as I've seen several price drops since that time. At ANY markdown, this speaker and others are a great buy. At the Black Friday price, it's a steal of a lifetime.

      Upgraded from Bose

I upgraded to this center channel from a Bose VCS-10, which to some audio enthusiasts may merit an entire discussion on its own. I have a soft spot for Bose, even if some of the audio quality is... lacking. I had the Bose for about 11 years, however, I now wish I had gone to Klipsch sooner. I will admit, the level of detail the R-25C is giving will take a little getting used to, (I can hear EVERYTHING in a scene now) I can safely say it blows the VCS-10 out of the water. I recently threw in the Blu-Ray of Dunkirk and pushed my surround system as high as necessary, and the R-25C did not falter on the more intense dialog scenes. I originally had my heart set on the R-250, but could not justify the much higher expense. But for my setup, where I am sitting about 15 feet away from the speaker, the R-25C is a perfect for handling the center channel duties.

I was really eyeing the Definitive Technology 9080 series and by far these are the ones I want, but they are expensive and just out of my range for now. I had listened to the Klipsch speakers three different times in the store. The first I was pretty amazed, but the second and third almost steered me away simply because I didn't feel they sounded correctly (all different stores). I truly believe Best Buy had these setup in store incorrectly the last two times. I paired everything with the Reference-8's, 5.25 Center and 5.25 Bookshelf with the 12" sub. WOW...WOW...WOW!!! I am very impressed with the setup. My only complaint would be the rears are difficult to hear, which I am toying around with my Pioneer 7.2 receiver to achieve the sound I am looking for. The setup though is amazing and the reviews of all of these speakers are spot on. You will not go wrong with Klipsch and you will not be disappointed!!

I've been wanting to upgrade my speaker system for a while now. I purchased some new Klipsch bookshelf speakers during April Audio month and loved how they sounded as new surround speakers. So I went ahead and purchased this R-25C center speaker. And I am glad I did. I was using a discrete M&S Systems center speaker which was an upgrade from a previous Sony center speaker I had, but this speaker sounds amazing. So crisp and clean. Nice warm sound without harsh highs. The speaker is quite large, at least 3 times the size of the M&S speaker I was replacing, but then it has more than 3 times the sound quality! And the copper cones of the speaker look great too. I rounded out my speaker set up with a pair of R-26F floor standing speakers and I couldn't be happier. Watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a real treat in my own front room. So glad I finally got round to upgrading.

5 stars but I am returning it....

First let me say this, it's a terrific speaker. I think it sounds better than almost every one I've heard before in this size and price range. I see it's on sale now even lower wow an even better deal. If you're thinking about buying this don't even worry about it, just get it and be happy. It matches the reference series. Extremely bright (but not too much), clear, strong, sounds terrific with music, movies, TV and keeps up and is mixed perfectly so that you always here the dialog. So why am I returning it? Because for a bit more, I purchased a RP250C and tested that out. It took me about 2 minutes to hear the difference...brighter, clearer, a bit stronger, much better low end response. So if you buy this, you're very, very happy. If you really are in to spending $200-$250 already, consider a small step up to the RP series on this one. The center is the most important sound channel for TV and movies. Just my 2c. I really can't downgrade the r25c as it's truly great also.

I own a Killer Man Cave system so I bought a woman cave system for the bedroom for my wife. She loves Blue ray movies and she bought 10 movies but she never watched them. So I bought this Klipsch Center, Klipsch R-15M bookshelves, Klipsch R-10SW, and a $199.00 Pioneer receiver. This Center speaker can play movie dialogue clearly! Bright sounding out of the box, but after three days it is now warm and musical. We can watch movies and hear what the actors are actually saying. Its small enough to fit inside every entertainment system. The copper woofers look great so I left the grills off. My wife is now watching movie after movie and that is worth every penny spent!!
