    Decent Cartridges for the Price

The cartridges fit perfectly into my Hero printer. They are a bit small for the price and it's amazing they can do as many pages as they do. They really can't be refilled which is a drawback because they are pricey. Bestbuy has a recycle area for cartridges which is good but I'd rather refill them. Then again refilling inkjet cartridges can be tricky and doesn't always work. I'm not sure if it's the printer or the cartridges but when I don't replace one simultaneously with the other then it doesn't register that both cartridges are full on my Hero 9.1 work fax and copier. Gave this product 4 stars and took off 1 star for the price versus the size. I have to replace them a bit too quickly even on draft mode.

I haven't actually used the ink from this purchase yet because I bought it using my rewards points before they expired. But, my experience is sometimes I get only a few pages before needing to replace, maybe 20 pages at the most, but this last ink has lasted longer, which is why I haven't had to replace it with my new purchase yet. I have yet to see it last as long as they say it does, though. I would say that it's not any less expensive to use than any other printer because of this. It's frustrating when you're needing to print something out but you're not able to because all of the sudden you're out of ink.

I have never had a functional or quality problem with the lower-priced (vs other brands) Kodak ink, though the cartridge runs out sooner than my old HP used to, and the price has gone up considerably since I purchased the printer (purchased under the advertised understanding that this particular printer aimed specifically to offer much lower ink costs). I know this is not directly a best buy flaw--my rating is for the consumer to consider the cost vs amount of printing you get, and Kodak's slightly underhanded scheme to advertise strikingly lower ink prices, then jack them up over time.

I replaced my old broken HP printer with a Kodak because of its ads about the replacement ink being of better value. Well, they are a little less expensive, but it 1- has less ink, or 2 - the Kodak printer just uses more ink? ---Just seems like it runs out quicker. Its only used at home for school projects and/or occasional printing, so its alright for that. However, I would not dare to actually print high quality images or photos - It would eat up the ink too quick.

Works as long as you print often enough, otherwise it seems that the ink dries out. I have bought the XL thinking it would last longer, but it doesn't because I don't print often enough. I think I only get maybe 50 pages printed before I have to buy more ink - both the black & the color. So I have learned to just buy the regular & not waste any more money than I already do.

    Best value on printer ink

Finally printer ink that doesn't cost a fortune. The ink is brilliant in color, doesn't smudge and a great value. I used to have a Lexmark all in one printer, which was a good item, however the ink was too expensive. I purchased a Kodak ESP 9 all in one printer and I am very pleased with the buy. It does everything I need and best of all the ink is very affordable, no more having to choose which photo or document to print out, with ink this cheap I can print all that I want.

I chose a Kodak printer because the printer ink appeared to be cheaper than other brands. But you get what you pay for, minimal printer ink per cartridge, even with the so-called extra capacity cartridges. Seems I am constantly running out of ink and with a Kodak printer, one cannot print until the cartridge is totally empty, as the printer will shut off before this happens. No telling how much ink is left in the cartridge that still could be used.
