Max Manus co-directors Espen Sanberg and Joachim Rønning reteam for this sweeping adventure detailing Thor Heyerdahl's daring attempt to prove that early settlers from South America once populated Polynesia by sailing across the Pacific on a simple balsa wood raft. Rejected by every publisher he approaches to print his unusual thesis, Heyerdahl (Pål Sverre Hagen) eventually decides that the only way to prove it is to make the journey himself as the entire world watches.~Jason Buchanan

Visual effects featurette
Full-length academy award nominated foreign language feature film (Norwegian)
This movie is an unexpected find. I had the cover in my hands many times in the store and always thought that this is an older movie that just has been rereleased. Boy I was wrong. This superb movie is an instant Classic. Beautifully told, excellent acting and mesmerizing cinematography will take you on a journey that you will never forget.
I really enjoyed this movie. It was really well done and a very interesting story.
I would recommend this to a friend

Great Foreign Film
Great film, one of the best foreign films I've seen recently, and I watch and study films all the time. It's in Norwegian, but there are scenes that take place in NYC, where they speak English and subtitles are automatically turned off. There is also an English version you can choose to watch that is not dubbed like one would think, but rather actually shot in English. Many scenes were shot in both languages to make the film more accessible, however at least 20 minutes are cut from the English version, so I don't recommend that one (which I have not yet watched, and don't really plan to).
