I've used this product in both 12v & 110v modes and the cooler has preformed perfectly over the last two months of continuos service/100% availability & reliability. A couple of times, I've had to defrost the internal cooling mechanism (Maintainability issue) but is is a marginal inconvience. Capacity is adequate for me (camping by myself). In 12v mode, the cooler ran my battery down while driving ~~650 miles on trip but this also was a minor nuisance.

Nice Cooler, use for camping and fishing. It's a little to cold to try outside just yet. So, have it plugged in the house... its a little noisy, but I really like it. especially in the upright position.

Used the cooler to transport items to the beach. Once at the beach we used the cooler as an extra refrigerator in the house. Worked as expected. As other reviews have mentioned, it's best to put items in the cooler that are already cool and that the lid doesn't want to stay open. Especially once the cooler is cold.
