I am an employee of Best Buy, This is an Amazing Lock and is a mast have for anyone who wants to feel mores secure at home, has a large family, occasional visitors from out of town or for older adults who sometimes forget keys. Pros: 1. It is So Easy to use it. set up was so smooth and easy. Yes, Geek Squad Agent did Install our Smart Lock and helped us setup an account. ... and yes, Agent explained all steps and stayed with us until account was created and everyone in family was comfortable using it (learned our codes). After that everything was on my mobile app and it was self intuitive and easy to use. 2. Everyone in the family can have their own unique code. You can see who was last one using code and when door was unlocked or locked. 3. You can give one time code access to visitors. Sometimes, we would have friends and family staying with us. Instead of giving them one of our keys and hoping to get key back before they leave, we can create one time access code. After they use it one time, code is not valid any longer. If guests are staying longer, I can set up rule for that unique code is active only during they stay. This works great when visitors are arriving really late and you have to work in the morning, they can let them self in and go to guest room with out waking you up. 4. Lock (or unlock) door remotely form anywhere. I can be anywhere in the world and I can lock or unlock my door. Why, you may ask? Did you ever go out of town and on the road you are thinking: did we forget anything? did i lock front door? Well, you just go on your mobile app and check. If you did not lock your door, simple touch on your mobile app and door is locked. ... or if you go to bed, you can simply just look on your phone if door is locked. 5. If you have nurse coming to your home to take care family members, you can have specific code for your nurse and you can see when they are arriving and how long they are staying with loved one. Remember: This is Z-waive Lock, which works great with all Z-Waive devices and if you pare it with Z-Waive system it has different user interface through that system vs when is stand alone device.

Now that the lock is installed and functional, it's great. We bought this so that my kids could easily get in and out of the house without a key. It is also nice when family comes to down and needs in/out access to my house when I'm not there. It's nice and easy for them to use. It's also easy to program. I have yet to hook it up to the network though, so I can't speak to that functionality. That will be a nice addition when I get it set up. I will say the install took a bit. I read there were people who found it a pain to install, but was like "I'm a pretty handy guy, it shouldn't be that hard". Nope, even for someone who is handy, installing this was a pain. The mechanisms in the lock don't have that much power, so it must be lined up just perfectly on the door. Also, the bolt is longer than my previous door, so I had to use a chisel to dig a deeper hole in the frame. Not a big deal, but just adds to the time it took to set up. Installation aside, I'm giving this a 5-star based on the functionality of the lock. It looks great on my door and my kids love that they can now come in and out of the house without carrying a key. I personally love that I don't need to fumble around with my keys in the dark when I go to work in the morning in order to lock the door. I just press the lock button and I'm on my way.
