The film deserved to have won the Academy Award for Best Picture. Diana Ross should have won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in the movie. The fact that she did not get the Academy Award is most disheartening to me even today. I am curious why you are asking for my review of this film. It was, and still is, the best reenactment of Billie Holiday's life. I wish that I could do something about it.

Surprisingly very well done movie it's not exactly all that accurate about Billie holiday but it's very entertaining you should put this one on your list.
