I can't help but be biased here, as Monster Magnet is my favorite band. That said, while I had to give it 5/5 overall, this isn't another Dopes to Infinity or Powertrip. There isn't a particular song that sticks with me after listening to it, though the title track is probably the most stand-out in that aspect, also clocking in as the longest song on the album due to a lengthy instrumental section that harkens back to Spine of God in a lot of ways.
Without going into a full-on album review, I will say it feels a lot more like the older albums, particularly the aforementioned Spine of God as well as Superjudge. If you have enjoyed any Monster Magnet album in your time, don't fret in trying this one out. It's a fun ride.
I will note, however, that the Best Buy listings can be confusing. I received an album that I thought would have the bonus tracks on it, only to find it did not. Instead of returning it, I bought the tracks as individual MP3s, as Best Buy's price was still competitive with that aspect included. Just a warning on that one.
I would recommend this to a friend
