Lego set was shipped in envelope

Sure enough the box was completed damaged in transit. I now have to print a return label and drop it off at UPC to get a replacement, which will only be shipped after they get the replacement. Where is the common sense? Who ships a medium Lego set in an envelope? Not ordering from Best Buy any more.
