One of the best Lego games so far IMO. Fighting is a little more involved than previous Lego entries, there's a skill branch system (easy to max out okay by story's end but that's okay for a kids' game), and everything looks far more superb than I ever thought a Lego game would. Even the coins just look detailed. Complete story mode in about ten hours plus more to find in unlocked free roam of all areas as per usual Lego format. Great game overall, great coop (though I'm a little disappointed that the dynamic split screen of previous Lego games went away), great usual Lego humor, great levels based on the movie with some bonus story parts that I don't think were in the movie (or were greatly expanded upon), and great for kids once again though some of the newer mechanics and tasks might be a little more difficult for younger kids than those of previous Lego games, so some might need more assistance.

Recent Lego games have become a little too 'open' for my tastes, but this one, while still following the open-world hub design, felt easier to navigate and work through in a systematic fashion... I was able to 100% beat the game and find all collectibles, and I never felt lost of overwhelmed. I also enjoyed the slight change to combat mechanics, which in other Lego games is simple and repetitive. The game's story follows the movie pretty closely, and clips from the movie are sprinkled in through the journey... although the voices (and some lines) felt like they'd been changed? Probably to be consistent with the new scenes added to fit between the old and new material. I highly recommend, even if you have become jaded of the Lego games.

The ONLY reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I personally haven't played it. My son bought this with his birthday money, but I have watched him play it and it looks great! There are different puzzles and a lot of things to do in the game. It's easy enough for a child under 10 to play, but not so easy that it is boring. The concept is fun and the characters are big wins in this house. This kid loves Ninjago. He doesn't love it as much as he loves Minecraft or Skylanders, but he likes it well enough and enjoys playing it.

My 7 year old loves Lego and does not typically enjoy playing video games. I would describe his video game skills as a beginner, where I have played for over 30 years. He is a Ninjago fan and wanted to try it on the Xbox One. We are able to play the game together. I enjoy collecting everything I can, where he just wants to finish the challenge. There are many points where you have to work as a team to get to the next challenge. All in all we both really enjoy the game and he is able to understand the challenges.

I bought this game for my son whom is 12 yrs old. He beat the game in 4 days. He usually beats games in an average of 7 days, and then replays them in different skill levels to collect everything. Unfortunately, he says the game really isnt like the others. it was too easy for him to beat, and now its going to collect dust.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game isn't too bad, it plays much the same as other LEGO video games. This one, however, includes some great ninja fighting too. If you are getting worn out from the vast library of LEGO video games, you may want to pass. But if you still thirst for more LEGO action, then check it out!

I paid under $20 for Lego Ninjago which was the right price. It gets an extra star based on price. It's a little different than other Lego games in the terms of format and gameplay. It's not bad but doesn't feel as polished as those others
