I like this laptop! But...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this laptop. I have been tried more expensive laptop too. (but these are more worse) such as SKU: 6128128) The hardver is working cool. Really quite and fast, love back-light ( keyboard should be better, a bit soft for me) Battery life really good. (thanks for i5-4210U and power manger) 2 negatives: Realtek audio don’t support any sound effects, surround, 5.1 and so on. The metal frame is poor design: after 2 weeks the pieces start flip over from each other. I share some picture about that. I talk with best buy & lenovo support too. They sad it is normal, but I could change it. I checked 3 new lenovo u430 too.. but it was same with them. All in consider it is MORE better than Toshiba E45T-B4204!!!

lenovo u430
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like some features of this laptop such as: the backlit keyboard, windows 8, the speed of the laptop, the battery (I've gotten 8 hours) the touchscreen (sometimes kind of pointless but nonetheless a nice feature). Some things I can not stand about the laptop are: the shift key for the right hand is terrible. The laptop does not sit perfectly flat. There is a slight wobble when it is sitiing on a flat surface. The screen does not get as bright as I would like it too. The touchpad mouse is oversized for the laptop so when I type I accidentally tap the mouse. The 14" screen is a little small. Overall a great laptop.

Great laptop for work or play! Great price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer about a month ago, and it has made my life much easier! I haven't had a laptop since college (about 4 years ago) and required one for a new job and for pursuing my master's degree. I had a good budget, and didn't want anything cheap, but nothing so extravagant like a Mac. I know many people with Lenovo's and they all say they wouldn't buy any other brand of laptop. I have to say I agree now. This laptop has been vital to my new job and very happy with its abilities - battery life, storage, speed, display etc... If I had to give any negatives, I can only think of two: the mouse pad is really sensitive and I find myself zooming in and out of browsers unintentionally and opening apps that I didn't mean to. The other thing is the display is very nice, but way to bright for me - I suffer from migraines and very sensitive to light - so I had to set the resolution pretty low. And there is a good glare coming off the screen too, so hard to use outside. But that's it! I highly recommend this laptop.

awesome laptop for all your needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new laptop. It can handle lots of programs/tabs being up and still maintains performance. It's thin and light and the backlit keyboard is very useful. My only complaint is the speakers are on the bottom of the laptop, so some surfaces project the sound while others muffle it. So sometimes I don't get enough volume out of it, but all things considered, that's a minor problem. Definitely love this laptop and am very happy I got it.

overall good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good overall laptop. decent speed and very quick startup and shutdown. sometimes it gets sluggish but a quick restart fixes that. I personally do not like the touchscreen but that is a personal preference. I have had to issues with the touchscreen. I also do not like the functionality of the touchpad but it is customizable to your preference. overall a pretty good laptop. I do not game or watch movies. I mainly use my laptop for writing papers and studying. It is lightweight and has a good battery life.

Sleek and well priced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, I really wanted the Yoga Pro but when I spoke to our tech guy at work, I realized that I needed more memory and capacity. I also need a bigger screen for my work. That said, this laptop is still pretty sleek and light. It doesn't have a disk drive, but I'm not sure who uses those anymore, anyway! The touchscreen is cool. The lighted keypad is cool. One weird aspect is that you really don't get complete directions in the box. Some things are not self-explanatory (like how to activate the backlit keypad) and I had to hunt online. I don't have a too much of a problem with Windows 8 but there is a learning curve, just in terms of comfort and usability. It's also annoying that Chrome can't just be one of the selections at Start. Overall, it's a good deal for the money and I hope to get at least as much use out of this as my old Dell (which started coming apart at 3 years).

Great little PC laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm an Apple fan girl, so I generally hate the fact that I also need a PC for my work as a college distance learning computer tutor. That said, I am pleasantly surprised that I actually like this little touchscreen laptop. It's fast, quiet, battery lasts a decent amount of time, and it is capable of doing everything an online student or instructor needs to do out of the box. Yippee! I've finally found something I can in good conscience recommend to friends dead set on a Windows laptop. It's my first Lenovo, and it won't be my last. Cheers to the only PC computer I haven't hated since I bought my first Mac in 2010. That's a pretty decent review from a die hard Mac lover.

Q: QuestionWhat is the wifi connection like?I am thinking about getting one and want to know about the Internet connection.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The Wi-Fi connection is the only disappointing aspect of this laptop. Unfortunately Lenovo does not have a driver update or solution. They instruct you to turn off the bluetooth fuctionality. You will constantly have to reboot to get connection.

Q: Questioncan the 8gb solid state drive be replaced with 256gb?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I haven't pulled mine apart, but I can promise you it's not a standard SSD, it's either an mSATA drive or M.2. In theory it's replaceable, but the BIOS may not recognize it as a full drive since it's currently used as a cache to speed up the response of the hard drive.

Q: QuestiontouchpadI can use my fingers to zoom in and out on the touchpad, but I can't scroll, and I'm pretty sure that it is capable of scrolling by running finger along right side of touchpad. How do I activate that? I know on other laptops, you can turn this function on/off, so I'm assuming it is turned off somewhere, but can't figure out where - device manager doesn't list this option - or I can't find it. Thanks!
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Use two fingers to scroll! Anywhere on the pad (not just on the side like with previous computers). You can also configure the touchpad to scroll left and right, as well (if it isn't already configured that way by default). It also scrolls in the same direction as you drag your fingers -- instead of the opposite direction as was the case with previous versions of Windows. Even though it sounds more intuitive, and ultimately it IS, it takes a while to get used to.

Q: QuestionIs this computer good for gaming? Not extremely demanding games, more like just MMOs.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer DISCLAIMER: I do not own this laptop!! However, I currently use a 4 year old Intel Celeron processor with 4GB RAM to run games like TF2, CS GO, Elder Scrolls Online and the sorts. The games run fine with just a little lag at times on my computer, so I am sure that on the 4th gen i5 with 8GB RAM that this one has it can handle simple MMOs
