Does the job as a travel tablet - it's fun!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendFirst venture into the Android world for me. I have an iphone 4S because I needed a reliable global phone first, camera second and gameboy third. Got an iPad 3 but I'm not risking that on trips and it has limited storage. I needed a wi-fi tablet for travel in the US and abroad, with microSD storage and enough apps to keep me busy. This Lenovo has responded to the challenge. I have been burning in this tablet for over a month including a 2-week business trip back east and have had no problems with home internet, airplane internet, hotel internet or my great little Mifi 2200 Verizon hotspot. The tablet's connection was stronger than my iPhone 4S on the same network at home, and my surfing wasn't limited by the tablet speed or memory. Love the picture! I also installed a 32gb microSD chip and put my 17 gigs of music on it, which made the air and hotel travel livable. I left the speakers playing for hours in the hotel, low to medium volume, with no heating issues. Camera works fine but not important to me. Adjusting screen brightness is very easy as I do it often. Have viewed standard emailed documents with no problem, but overall have not used KingSoft Office yet to any extent. Our daughter (Android phone devotee) got her hands on it and seemed to catch on to the navigation well, much better than me. Battery life is excellent; I have been charging it every 4-5 days (letting it run down to 20%). I synched my email account to it very easily. Google OS Jelly Bean 4.2.1 comes installed. As for apps, I downloaded the 7Aug13 version of Netflix, but it hangs on loading. A lot of apps I use on the iPad aren't available for Android, which seems to be a general problem with the commercial arena so I use a full site when I can. That's the price. Speaking of price, this was a great value for the features and capabilities. I can hardly wait to take it on another trip! Make sure you get a case specifically made for the S6000 and try it out first - it should not contact the power button. Thanks for reading!

Great tablet. Fast quad core processor. Lots of in
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendGreat tab!et. It has a long battery life when in use, 8-10 hrs. The quad core processor is very fast and is able to handle tasks quickly. It has a good antenna range. The screen has good sharp resolution. It streams video well. For the $260.00 price at Best Buy, it had features comparable to $500.00 tablets. This tablet has a good selection of apps that seem to work well together; email, word processing, contacts, calendar, etc. Downloads work well with symbol in the top left of the screen to let you know when the down load is complete. I have been pleased with this tablet. I am new to tablets, but not to computers. The 32 GB of internal memory, 64 GB of external memory with a micro SD card, addable, and 1 GB of RAM as well as the 1.2 GHz quad core processor and high resolution screen make this a wonderful tablet, and a lot of bang for the buck. I would recommend this to others.

Best tablet I can imagine!!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWas looking for a non-iTablet and did not want to get a Windows OS as I am not a fan of Redmond. Of course, I have concerns about Google, but that's a whole other story.... So after researching, found this one offering HDMI, USB, expandable memory and 10.1 inch screen for under $300. It has been AWESOME!! Boots quickly, has great response time, all the features you might want. It's an Android OS, so for folks who have an Android phone, learning this interface is a breeze. The HDMI and USB ports are mini, so you will need adapters, but no other tablet I found offers HDMI. Great for business presentations and streaming Internet content to my large flat screen.

A Very Respectable Tablet - with Limits
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendOK, this isn't the "end all" in Android Tablets... it has NO GPS, so if you want that...move on to a more expensive Tablet. I purchased this to tide me over until my ASUS Infinity Tablet was returned for repair of a dysfunctional touch-screen, so I was looking for inexpensive... enter the Lenovo Ideatab. Now that I have my ASUS back from repair, the Lenovo (1/2 the price of the ASUS) is still my "Go To" Tablet.. PLEASE NOTE: As of November 2013, the OS & Firmware Updates have resolved ALL compatibility problems with Apps that you might read about in other reviews of this Tablet. Of course, if an APP requires GPS, it won't work... other than that, all compatbility issues have been resolved. Pros: When I need it, it wakes up and is ready to use... it doesn't instantly start running tons of bloatware that bogs down the processor, so it's quicker and more responsive, even though it has a slower, less capable processor (Note, i'm talking about after a factory reset, so this is not because of the Apps I have installed). I don't see the point of a GPS on a WiFi only Tablet... I can't use it for navigation away from a WiFi Hotspot (maybe if I had a fancier car, with built-in WiFi I would feel differently). The Stereo speakers give very respectable sounding audio, without external speakers. Cons: No Gorilla Glass, flimsy plastic case, screen is less sharp than the current "State of the Art (but very clear and readable). I purchased a good, leather case and an anti-glare screen protector, so it's all good.

Great tablet for price
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI researched tablets for at least 4 months before purchasing. This tablet has the best reviews and performance in this price range. Specifications are comparable to models that are much more expensive. I was not familiar with this brand, but so glad I took a chance. It's a great product. It's on the most current android operation system. The only problem I have is I can't find an option for a swipe keyboard like on my phone. Highly recommend. This brand does not have many accessories made specifically for it. I have the rocketfish case and it's great. It allows rotation to use in the vertical or horizontal position and has a magnetic closure.

100% Fab Tab!!!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI had been waiting for this tab for a long time, as for previous review about connecting to a PC, and about Netflix issue... this is my 8th tablet in about 3 years, (I always buy a new tablet when companies upgrade) and every new tablet when it comes out has numerous updates before it runs perfectly. It happens with Samsung, Acer, APPLE and yes, even lenovo. If you want to buy the newest technology, you just have to deal with the little quirks and downfalls of doing so. There will be a update within 30 days to fix all problems like that. I love this tablet, you cannot find another name brand tab with the high end specs like this for this cheap a price, especially with this size of display. The tablet with the closest specs to this s6000, would be the acer a1-810, but you would be downsizing to a 7.9" display. That is another awesome tab that i purchased about 2 weeks ago, and i love it too. Both tabs have the quad core processor, same mega-pixel front & rear facing cameras, same android 4.2 operating system and same ips multi-touch HD display. The acer 7.9" is a little less than 200 bucks, which is unbelievable for those specs, and the s6000 is only 50 bucks more...for a 10.1" DISPLAY!!! What an awesome deal. Now i am waiting for the new acer a3 10.1" hd high-end tab to be released sometime later this year... I cant wait, but am supurbly pleased with the s6000. Now i gotta purchase the keyboard case for it, it has its own battery plus usb ports! Yay! I highley recommend the lenovo s6000. I am sure you will love it, i did! The only downfall i can find, is thatnits so new, its hard to find accessories. If i wait about a month i am sure i will find them everywhere, just another downfall for early adopters. I give the s6000 an A across the board, and i am pretty picky...i have owned acer, samsung, apple, lenovo, toshiba, asus and hp tablets, all within the last three years, so i know alot about android and tablets in general. Highly recommend! Currently I own a HP laptop, 2 Google TV's (vizio co-star & Logitech review) roku xs, Samsung galaxy note 2, and in tablets, I have a 7" Acer, a 7.9" Acer, a 9" lenovo, a 10" lenovo, 10" galaxy tab, and a 3rd gen iPad. So I do know a lot about tablets. If anyone has any questions I will try to answer, but give me a few weeks, I will be on vacation till first week of august. Thank you for reading my post and good luck and happy shopping!

Best value name brand 10.1" tablet
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI had been waiting for a decent 10.1" tablet to drop below $300, and found it with this one. I initially bought a 16GB Asus Smart Memo Pad 10 for $299 and found the build quality disappointing. I returned it and picked up one of these. It seems to play current 3D games quite well with the quad-core MediaTek CPU, even though it's not as fast as say, the Tegra 3. Accessories: I found a Lenovo-branded bluetooth keyboard specifically made for this model for $52 from another vendor and am very happy with it. Most of the writing on the box is Chinese, so it may not be marketed yet in the US. The keyboard magnetically holds the tablet in a compact clamshell when closed, and the tablet sits in a fitted groove when open. Amazingly, the box says this keyboard's built-in USB rechargeable battery can run between charges for 3 months (2 hrs/day use), or standby for 6 months! A folio case and screen protectors are also available. The firmware is pretty good, Android 4.2.2, and has a few minor bugs. For instance, a Microsoft S6000 Bluetooth mouse initially pairs and works fine, but after the first time the tablet or it go into power-saving mode, the mouse is no longer detected and has to be re-paired with the tablet. I'm running build S6000_A422_101_019_130815_WW_WiFi. Also, there are several apps I like in the Play Store that say they are incompatible, so I sideloaded the ones I wanted (copied from my phone) using adb, and every one worked fine (?). Google Earth and WeFi Pro are two examples. Trivial to root. No custom ROMs appear to be available yet (probably will be though), and CWM recovery is available and appears to require a special MTK Tools application to install. I hope it can be overclocked a little. As soon as CyanogenMod creates a 4.3 ROM or someone does a fairly vanilla AOSP ROM, I'll try it out. Omission of GPS is disappointing but it's not too difficult to start a gpsd server on my phone and let the tablet connect via Bluetooth or wi-fi. Excepting Google Maps, the Play Store seems to flag most GPS apps as incompatible. However, every one of those I tried worked fine with a gpsd client and mock locations enabled in the debug settings.

Easy to Use, Long battery life.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendLove this tablet. I replaced a cheaper android because of slow response times after I'd downloaded some of my apps. Have not had any problems with this tablet. Screen is clear and sharp, Found a case with screen protector for under $15 on Amazon that does an auto wake-up and hibernate when I open and close the case. Use this a lot with our scout troop for quick access when reviewing requirements and using it as resource for scout activities. The large screen makes reading articles and our local paper easy.

Asked by Lenovobuyer.
- A:Answer If you haven't already, you would need to download the Netflix application and register for an account. Once that is complete, you would open Netflix on your Lenovo tablet, sign in (if you are logged out), and then you should be able to view your selected movie(s)/TV show(s), etc.
