A nice, portable addition to a laptop
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI got this for taking to classes for notes and papers because my laptop is a bit bulky and heavy to carry around all day. When I first was using this, I was disappointed because it seemed very slow, but I figured that's because I was used to a high powered laptop. I was able to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to 10 after a few weeks, but when I updated this tablet was going very slow to the point where it wasn't even functional. I went into my task manager to see if there was a program that was using a lot of memory. Not to my surprise it was McAfee Security. After uninstalling that, the tablet runs very quickly and is perfect for using Office products and Netflix, which is exactly what I wanted it for.

Great Windows Tablet
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI bought this on a whim to replace a Nokia Tablet. The Nokia had issues, including the screen futzing up twice that required returning it to the cell company. No such problems with the Lenovo. Upgrade to Windows 10 went without a hitch. It balks at running iTunes, but all my other applications/programs that I use run fine. If it had built in LTE it would be awesome, but other than having to find wi-fi (or buy a portable hotspot) it is more than I expected this tablet to handle. Next task will be to see if it will rum my ham radio, and I am (truthfully) not expecting any problems.

A Pretty Good Price Performer
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis purchase was for my wife to replace her aging (Vista) laptop. She wanted a casual browsing/email machine with a limited learning curve off her Windows base. Windows 8.1 is as close as we could get as, from what I know, there are (at this point) some driver issues with this device and Windows 10. I'll skip all the Windows 8/8.1 stuff, which was 90+% of the problems that we encountered. It is what it is and will be the same on any other Windows 8 based machine. The pluses are 1) A decent screen and touch seems to work OK 2) For a handful of browser tabs and some open emails, performance is adequate 3) WiFi connections work fine, but somehow seem slow on startup (not a big issue but noticeable). So I would call this pretty much OK. The machine is a good 50 feet and 3 walls from our WiFi router. 4) It seems pretty solid for a low end, mostly plastic box. The negatives 1) The touchpad is completely unusable! In fact the whole computer is unusable when the touchpad is enabled. I'll swear that the mouse moves just by looking at the touchpad. My wife uses a Bluetooth mouse and Lenovo (or WIndows 8.1 - not sure which) provides a hotkey enable/disable the touchpad, so that is a good work around. I have read of folks literally covering their touchpad with a piece of cardboard. 2) While the attach/unattach of the keyboard typically seems solid, it is really easy to partially attach it with all kinds of unexpected behaviors. Something you adjust to, I would think. 3) 10 inches is a small screen. I still haven't figured out how to use the virtual keyboard while responding to an email (something simple like "OK - see you Friday") as the virtual keyboard covers up too much of the email that you are dealing with. Maybe I will figure this out. I have not really work on that. But over-all I am satisfied. If this were an Apple product (where I would have paid 2x as much) I would probably be dis-satisfied. But for what it is (price/performance) it is OK.

Great Window Tablet with Great Resolution
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendMy previous tablet (and which I still have) is an older Acer Android. I told myself that if I bought another tablet PC, it would be a Windows version. My wife bought this same tablet a couple of days prior to my purchase. I reviewed it at a few online sites and liked the reviews. I especially like the resolution of the Lenovo as I do photography and wanted a tablet with good resolution. My covetousness got the best of me and I bought the Miix 3-10. The charging cord could be longer and the charging time could be shorter (less time). Also, using the tablet while charging places the tablet in "overload" mode. Too, the built in Wi-Fi adapter seems slow so an external adapter may be needed for faster downloads - I haven't tried it as yet but believe this comment has been made previously. The lowest price I could find was about $350, so Best Buy's price of $250 seemed reasonable. There are cheaper windows version tablets, but none I could find comparable to the Lenovo. If not for a couple minor issues mentioned, this would be a 5-star product.

Very close to being the perfect device
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWindows 10 switches perfectly between Laptop and tablet top job Microsoft – purchased as a traveling companion where I need a full functional laptop but don’t want to carry more than a tablet sized device – 100% fit for this purpose and 100% happy. Probable would be a little frustrating if it was my sole computing device hence only 4 stars

A wonderful tablet for everyone
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWhen I went to Best Buy, I was going to buy the Lenovo Yoga 2 10 tablet, but after seeing how it was pathetic next to the Lenovo MIIX 3, I didn't buy it. I bought the MIIX 3 instead. The tablet itself is amazing. The memory is very large, the touch screen is so sensitive and nice to touch, and also very formal looking. The keyboard is very portable, nice to use, and also formal looking. Every button worked crisply except the space-bar key, which needed slightly more force. They combined perfectly, for laptop and stand mode, making them ultimately brilliant. I bought it so I could take it on short trips, so I did not have to take my laptop. Lenovo has outdone itself (again) with this product. It is better than the Yoga because the processor is better, the keyboard is more firm and holds to the tablet better, the memory is larger, and the tablet is sturdier. Although the Yoga is thinner at the top, the cylindrical battery at the bottom makes it harder to use with a keyboard, making the MIIX 3 an all-out better tablet then the Yoga.

I wanted to love you, you little Miix
Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendI decided to buy you because you were small, but had a keyboard, a great screen, and the promise of reasonable performance. Yes, you had a great screen, but fell short in many other ways. What is good: The screen. It's hard to find a screen with 1920x1200 at this pricepoint.. The size The pricepoint Micro HDMI What's not so good: The touch screen responsiveness is mediocre at best. You sometimes didn't like to wake up without holding the power button for an eternity. The keyboard is ok, but I was constantly fighting with the space bar, Charging was slow, and I often got warnings about power overload. The speaker, barely audible, very tinny You got laggy at times on videos Lack of a full size USB port on the tablet portion Lack of USB 3 at all Utter lack of accessories, no cases, no covers, no nothing that I could find. In summary, it is a decent low end 10" Windows tablet, but it lacks a lot. If price is the most important consideration, this is for you. If all the little things matter, read on. I'm writing this from the Microsoft Surface 3 128GB I exchanged it for. I paid a lot more, but I got a lot more, at a relatively similar size.
