Hy guys, just read one review here and decided to tell my 2 cents. I previously owned two thinkpad laptops: Thinkpad T420 and X120e each of them are very reliable. After reading and watching reviews about this laptop, I decided to buy this one. UPS delivered everything in time. Great machine: chassis is very sturdy, brightness and colours, screen resolution - very good for me. Touchscreen and pen worked good. Screen made good, everything made from metal, looks awesome. One more good point - laptop is very quiet, that for me was very important. Computer did not become very hot during the load. Now about bad points. 1. Lenovo did not install usual Thinkpad programs on this laptop, like ThinkVantage, Thinkpad Power menagement. I tried to install it from official lenovo site, this did not worked. 2. Trackpoint is not adjusted for large screen resolution. When you speed up the trackpoint speed in the controls it is still slow for me to move the pointer on the screen. In comparison the touchpad moves it much faster. One of the solutions might be decreasing the screen resolution. 3. In comparison with Thinkpad T420 and x120e keyboard is very gentle, not for vigorous use. I was using my Thinkpad T420 for 4 years, typing a lot during work hours and studying in the evenings using it for12-14 h a day and it is still working great. This laptop came with the defective keyboard, one the buttons was falling out. Overall, keyboard is weak. So I gave the laptop back and waited for the replacement. Customer service in Best Buy is very good, absolutely no problems. Second laptop came fast, but screen was defective with pink and violet spots on it. Eventually I gave it back to Best Buy and waiting for the money refund. My opinion, Lenovo should check ther laptops before selling them. I do not know why they are not doing this. They may lose their customers.

Good battery life but screen too small to use for working while on road. Would be great if only had to be on it occasionally. Will be transferring to person in office who can use it that way.

I own one of these Yoga 12's, it's an older model that has been replaced by the lighter Yoga 260. But if you need a brighter screen, get the 12. It's been tested at 393 nits of brightness, while the 260 only achieves 328 nits. So the 12 is better outdoors than the 260. But both of them have a nice anti-glare coating, unlike the vast majority of touchscreen laptops which have traditional glossy screens. So you won't see your face reflected back at you. The other reason this product is nice is the keyboard. A full 2mm of travel, unlike most laptops which only have 1.0 to 1.5mm. So it doesn't hurt to type. Also, the palm rest is made of a special plastic/magnesium compound that is very comfortable, unlike most of its competitors which use solid aluminum. Oh, and you get a pressure-sensitive pen too. The only negatives are its weight (3.5 lbs), its low color saturation, its stiff hinges, and the Lenovo bloatware.
