The Best 2n1 out at the moment!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not know how there is bad reviews out for this Lenovo Yoga 900 but I guess you cannot please everyone. Though the perfect 2n1 doesn't exist this Lenovo Yoga 900 come pretty close. Pros: Compared to competitors like the spectre 2n1 the yoga 900 give you more for your money in terms of features since the performance is basically the same since the hp has intel core i7, up to 16gb ram and 512ssd. Also, the spectre says it has longer battery life but in my test with normal usage its about the same. 1: Gorilla glass 2. Windows signature operating system (no bloatware such as youcam, cyberlink and other bs) 3. Conservation Mode in Lenovo Settings (if activated it doesn't over charge your laptops battery) 4. Lighter weight compare to the competition (some may argue a few more ounces doesn't make a difference but ounces equals pounds. 5, Better resolution 3200x1800 (spectre only 1920x1080 and the upgraded spectre only 2560x1440 6. Samsung pcie ssd (best ssd out) 7. The charging port doubles as an extra usb port 8. Can use the ac adapter and plug your other cable to charge other devices like tablets or iphone 9. One key rescue easy way to restore or create back ups 10. Lenovo customer support is in America! (not India or Philippines no offense etc) Cons: 1. Does not have a regular hdmi ports (but has usb-c that will be your video out) 2. Not a uni-body 3. Power plugs block block the other port on the wall 4. Why qhd+ why not just do 4k 5. Wished it had a narrower bezel like the dell xps or on some of the other Yoga models 6. Not the best looking laptop ( I think the dell xps and spectre looks better) The watch band hinge look dope though. 6. Not windows hello compatible (theres not many devices out that supports this) Conclusion: I feel this yoga 900 is the better buy. If you choose an alternate route like the spectre it is still a great option and I would definitely be happy with the spectre but I just feel you get more for your money on the Lenovo Yoga 900. Hope this helps your decision making.

Great for College Students
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many, I will research the product before making a purchase, especially technology and high priced items. I am so satisfied with the Lenovo Yoga 900. College students is your current laptop slowing you down or taking too long? It would be worth your money to buy yourself a new laptop. A new laptop will last a long time. It’s an investment, but I promise you it will be well worth it. When buying a new laptop, there are always several questions to ask yourself. What size do you get, brand, style, version, and what do I want to get out of the laptop? One of the positive is that In between class you do not have to turn off the computer, you can just close it and it will not hurt the battery. College students always want the best technology that’s out there. Features: Great camera High capacity for storage Lightweight (3 pounds) Easy for transporting Battery life is great Brightness is superb Comes in different colors Here is a tip: Best Buy will even install all your programs that you want, all you must do is ask them and they will do it free of charge. Best Buy offers an extended warranty passed the manufactures warranty and I would recommend getting the warranty. It covers almost anything to screen breaking, to you dropping it. Great benefits: Lightweight Transport easily Touch screen 2 in 1 (meaning it’s a tablet and a laptop) Battery lasts about ten hours Takes up little storage space Great for college students Camera is efficient and clear The only drawback is it takes up both power outlets, the second slot is partially covered so you can’t use it. On the flip side the battery life makes up for it. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase as it has exceeded my expectations, especially since it cost a pretty penny. Anyone will be happy with this computer.

Are you kidding me???
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked Lenovo because my last laptop was Lenovo and I was satisfied with it, so I was gonna stick with the same brand. My current experience is very disappointing though. I tried 3 of these already and I am not sure if I want to exchange it for another one! I spent hours driving to BestBuy and Installing everything again on a new laptop.. Yoga #1: seemed to be working okay until about 2 weeks later when I started to get blue screens out of nowhere followed by a restart of the laptop. Yoga wouldn't overheat however the fans were getting pretty loud at some points, also the screen driver failed couple times. Brought it to geek squad and they recommended a new laptop, so I exchanged it. Yoga #2: brought it home, didn't turn on.. okay well.. I exchanged it the same day Yoga #3: Hurray it turned on!! I started installing programs. Antivirus installment was quick, then Microsoft Office- it took at least an hour for the computer to download it/ install it. I didn't think twice about it. The same day I bought a printer, so I went ahead and tried to download and install the HP software. With the speed of ehm "0" it would take 919 minutes to download. Am I in 2016? I could have spent $1 for a laptop from 10 years ago and get a better performance! I really want to love this laptop, I like the design, the 360 future, it is so light-perfect for carrying it to school, the specifications sound fantastic -on paper only!! How many more of these do I have to try to get a functional Yoga that delivers everything that was promised??

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 900-13. Firstly, Microsoft Office 365 is already installed on this device as part of the Windows 10 operating system. Downloading the same software again is causing problems with your operating system and maybe the source of everything else bad that is happening after that download. All you need to do is activate the Microsoft Office software that is already on the device with a product key purchase. You don't need to download any software for Microsoft Office. This is probably why you had problems installing your printer drivers. Probably the best thing to do at this point is to restore the system to factory default settings and starting over.

Great deal, seems to be a nice computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new computer for a high school student. The student wanted something light and small so it would fit in a backpack. After looking through options, we decided on a 13" ultra-light notebook. Once we settled on that, the choice became pretty clear that nothing was close to the Yoga in terms of price and capabilities. I spent a little time working with it, and it seems to be fast and capable. Programs load quickly due to the SSD, and there is adequate memory so things don't bog down when you have multiple windows open. I didn't do anything computationally intensive on it, but based on the CPU I don't expect it would have trouble with light-duty work like doing large pivot tables in Excel or medium video editing. It's a decent computer at a good price. I can't comment on reliability, the one I bought worked perfectly out of the box. YMMV on these things.

Great Computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this computer from the open box section for a great deal a couple days ago. So Far I have only positive things to say about this device. Runs all the programs I need very smoothly with no issues. The QHD screen looks amazing and the touch screen is extremely responsive. I love the hinge design of the yoga 900 and 910 and the duel-tone black and silver color scheme of the device looks very sleek. But one of my favorite features of this laptop is the keyboard. The keys have a very nice slim profile to them that feels very nice to type on and there is a very soft material where your hands rest. These combine to make a very comfortable typing experience and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I wanted to use to use this device. The fan does kick on every now and again when performing more high-intensity tasks. The fan does produce a high-pitched hum but its almost unnoticeable because its relatively quite and only stays on for a couple seconds. I have no issue using this laptop in a quite room and love everything about it. The only thing that disappointed me was the front camera quality. It is only 720p, but as I never video chat with my laptop I did not let that affect my 5 star rating.

Really nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is the best I've ever owned! It is lite, portable, has long, long battery life, touch screen, FAST!....instant boot, I have never been this happy with a computer.....My only concern was the smaller sized screen (I was using a 15.5" screen) The 13" screen is perfect...I love it! My only negative is the High gloss screen.....

Very good laptop, with exception of power brick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this laptop for a about a month now. Here are the first impressions. Overall, I'm happy with it. Pros: Mechanically very good. Lightweight but sturdy - you can pick it up by a corner when open with near zero flex. Came with zero bloat-ware on it. I don't recall uninstalling anything from it. It is a blessing to get a computer that doesn't have to have a bunch of junk on it that needs to be removed, or in some cases flattened right out of the box. Keyboard has a reasonable amount of travel in the keys, layout works pretty well with one caveat below. Touchpad good. Offset to the right, which for a right-handed person is far better than being offset to the left. Right index finger rotates down into left-click position pretty easily, not accidently right clicking like on some other laptops. Performance is good, and the display is crisp. Battery life is pretty good, though I am not overly stressing it. No huge hot spots when sitting on your lap, even when charging. Silent operation. Can barely hear the fan if it runs. Cons: The power cord is the biggest weakness. It has a funky narrow brick that plugs directly into the wall, and then a too-short USB cable from there that delivers the power. The cord is about 6' total. Most other laptops have a power cord that goes to the brick, and then a cable from the brick to the laptop, for a total of 8'+. It might work ok if you always use it at a desk, but if you forget to charge it up in advance, and try using it on the couch like I'm doing now, or from the kitchen table, you will need a longer cord to get to an outlet. I'm having to use it with a big A/C extension cord now. Need to find a smaller USB extension that's compatible with the power-over USB cord, or just a longer USB cord from the brick. The other con is that the placement of the Home / End / PageUp keys on the far right takes some getting used to. Page Down (used the most) is in the right spot, but the others aren't. I was initially a bit concerned about the relatively small backspace key, but it hasn't been an issue for me.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 900-13. With regard to the power cord issue you mention, we will look in to this for future improvements. With regard to the keyboard issues you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

Love how flexible, clear, lite & portable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pictrue is great. Easily moves from laptop to tablet to tent or backwards. Fast and light weight. Cons: power cord is waaay too short if you want to work plugged in, very difficult. Also, touchpad is very sensitive and will shrink the screen with barely a touch. Warning there is a setting for dimming based on light in room so if using as tent with touchscreen, passing your hand over it makes the screen dim. I thought the screen was flickering and going out when new. You can turn this off!

Q: Questioni really would like to know the manufactures reason for releasing this version with its subtile differences. was it an attempt to fix significant defects? i Just do understand how they justify the 200 dollar price difference, something is up here?
Asked by curiousdude.
- A:Answer I was just at Best Buy and they mentioned this has a newer, faster SSD and comes with Windows 10 Pro, but I don't see anything on the site mentioning either.

Q: QuestionLenovo rep: Could you help us by benchmarking this 900 with iris 540 GPU against your yoga 710 14" with the dedicated 940MX GPU? I love the weight and feel of this tablet but I want to see how much gaming power I will be giving up. Thanks!
Asked by Jason.
- A:Answer We will pass this request along. This specific test has not been performed yet, but we do know that IRIS Graphics compared to last year's integrated graphics processing will provide these measured improvements: 6% improvement on performance, 20% - 30% improvement on 3D gaming and other video intensive applications. But, a discrete graphics card, with dedicated RAM on the GPU will always provide better graphics processing. If you like the cutting edge styling of the Yoga 900-13, we recommend you check with the game software publisher for their minimum/recommended requirements to run their games at the settings you prefer, then compare those requirements to the Yoga 900-13 with Core I-7-Iris Graphics capabilities. One other thing to keep in mind is Best Buy's great return policy. You have 15-days to try the device out in your "real world" situation, see if it works for you. If it doesn't, bring it back, undamaged, with your receipt!

Q: QuestionIs it worth buying for programming?
Asked by Parth.
- A:Answer That will depend on the requirements of the software you will be using to do the programing. We recommend you check with the publisher of the software you will be using, for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.
