purchased to match the builder-grade switches elsewhere in our home. after heavy use the slider face will show very small vertical abrasions as expected with plastic-on-plastic friction. the 'preset switch' is actually an on/off switch as long as the slider deosn't change it will energize at the last set point. our installation works as a 3 way in the kitchen with the other switch being a 15amp decora. clean looking switch
