Customers have good things to say about the screen size, ease of use, lightweight design, and resolution of the 16” IPS LED gram +view WQXGA Portable Monitor. Many appreciate its portability and how easy it is to set up and use. The crisp, high-resolution display is frequently praised. However, some users have noted that the included stand could be improved.
I've been using this monitor for about a month now, and it is EXACTLY what I needed. I didn't have to install any drivers or anything, I just plugged the USB-C cord into my laptop and the monitor, and it instantly turned on and projects/extends the screen. SO EASY. I can take my computer set up anywhere I want and have the same capabilities as I do at home. The monitor is smaller than most traditional monitors, but I like that it's the same size as my laptop and it takes up less space on my desk. Resolution: The QHD resolution is more than good enough for working/studying, especially at the smaller size. No complaints, especially for the price. Price: It's still a chunk of change for the size compared to traditional monitor, but I think the price is worth every penny for what you get. Lightweight, plug and play, high enough resolution, easy to use and transport. Connection: The USB-C connection was the main thing I needed since my laptop doesn't have an HDMI input, and the vast majority of traditional monitors haven't caught up yet with using USB-C. KEEP IN MIND you do have to use a USB-C 3.1 cord specifically. The regular USB-C cord that you charge other devices with will NOT transmit the video to the monitor. Flickering Cursor: I did run into an issue with my cursor flickering between the "Normal Select" image and the "Working In Background" image when I have the monitor plugged in. I didn't find anything online to prevent that from happening, but I did find a work-around. In "Additional mouse settings" > "Mouse Properties" > "Pointers" tab, you can choose which cursor image is shown for which setting. I changed the "Working In Background" image to be the same as the "Normal Select" image. That way, even though it might technically be switching back and forth in the background, I don't see it flickering because the images are the same.

I was looking to get a second monitor for work and it came down to either this or one of the dozens of 15.6" Full HD portable monitors. Why would I go for this when I could pay $100-$200 less for a 15.6" Full HD monitor, and some even have with touch functionality (this doesn't have touch features). Here's why I went with the LG gram + view. *** 16:10 ASPECT RATIO *** All of the 15.6" portable monitors have a 16:9 aspect ratio while the LG gram+view has a 16:10 aspect ratio. With a 16:10 aspect ratio, you're getting some extra vertical pixels. So a 15.6" monitor can run a resolution of 1600x900 while this can run 1600x1000. Although it's not a lot, those extra 100 vertical pixels come in handy for displaying extra rows in spreadsheets or additional emails. *** 2560x1600 RESOLUTION *** Not only is the LG gram+view's display sharper compared to a 15.6" Full HD monitor but having more resolution means more space to place applications on the screen. On MacOS, I'm running it at 2048x1280 which gives me more working space compared to 1920x1080 on the 15.6". Text does appear a little small at this size but it's manageable. I recommend a smaller resolution like 1600x1000 if the text looks too small for you. Windows users can scale the text size to their liking. *** COLOR AND CONTRAST*** With 99% DCI-P3 color coverage, colors look amazing on the LG. Most of the 15.6" monitors have sRGB which while good, doesn't look as vibrant. Also, most 15.6" monitors have 800:1 static contrast ratio (some have higher) while this has 1200:1 static contrast ratio. So blacks don't look dull and grey on the LG. A couple of other things that I liked about the LG. - Only need 1 USB-C to USB-C cable to power the monitor. - Easy to store and protect the screen with the folio cover/stand. - Lightweight and great for working on the go. - Plenty of brightness. I have mine set around 50/100. - Great aesthetics. I like that they didn't put the LG logo on the bottom bezel and makes it look clean. Main cons would have to be the 60 hz refresh rate, lack of a touchscreen and price although I would argue that you're getting a quality product with a reputable brand instead of going for a cheap unknown brand on Amazon. Overall, I would highly recommend this monitor if you're looking for a portable monitor for productivity that is lightweight and can easily be used on the go with just one cable.

If you have limited space on your desk like me or if you travel a lot, this is a must buy. Screen quality is on a league of its own when it comes to portable monitors. If you are in the market for a second screen for your laptop, this is worth spending that extra money on. Its also very light.
