Happy with Purchase
|Posted .I bought this soundbar to replace a not very good more expensive Sony soundbar which I returned. This LG one fits my needs perfectly, I'm really happy with the sound I'm getting from my Insignia Roku 4k television that it's hooked up too. The only drawback is that the HDMI ARC does not hook up automatically, my work around (which I found on the internet) is to hook soundbar up to both HDMI ARC and optical and then change to ARC via the source button on the bar remote. Other than that my television remote can turn on, off, and volume. Really doesn't seem to be any difference between sound quality from ARC and optical to tell the truth. I have mine attached under the television which is on a swivel mount on the wall. I would recommend this soundbar absolutely.

LG is the BEST!!
|Posted .I have a 65" LG 4K UHD TV to go along with the speaker bar hanging in my living room, and it's the greatest!! Sounds great, can handle the bass, and has an ultra clear sound. Needing one remote doesn't hurt either. The only downside was that I put the shelves up before my speaker bar, and it looks like the supercomputer in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but whatever. We live in a rental. When we buy our house, we'll get it right!!

|Posted .I have to admit I was expecting much being in was 2.1 but it definitely has A LOT of bang for the buck. Suits my living room and bedroom entertainment setup perfectly.

Unbeatable Sound Bar
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI just bought an LG - 49" Class (48.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HDTV - Black, and to my knowledge, that's all I needed, and that's all the money that I was prepared to spend. However, when I spoke with the sales rep that helped me purchase my TV, I asked him how the built in speaker system sounded and what to expect. He mentioned that the built in speakers do not create the greatest viewing experience, although LG TVs have some of the better built-in speakers. I decided to purchase this sound bar in addition to my TV, and thank god I did. It feels like I'm sitting in a movie theatre, especially when I keep the settings on Cinema mode. This bar is so powerful that I only need to keep the volume between 10-15 to be completely satisfied. Any higher and it's too loud for me. But I've never experienced anything like this in my home theatre. And for the price, it's an absolute steal. I highly recommend this product. I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

Great inexpensive basic soundbar
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI did a bit of reviewing sounds bars before making my purchase. My requirements were had to be cheap, have a wireless sub, and have good reviews. This bar meets all these requirements and more. Here is what I like: inexpensive (this was one of the cheapest new bars I could find), brand (everyone knows LG and its reputation), everything in the box (this comes with wall mounts, digital optical cord), sound scenes (you can chose 3 different), and mentioned above wireless sub and great reviews (you can count mine as one more). What I don't like; in cinema mode it can be hard to hear words without turning up the volume a bit, and remember this is still only a 2.1 channel speakers.

Great sound good value.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI would have given this 5 stars, but when i bought it the sub woofer would not connect to the sound bar. I ended up having to return the unit and trade for another. No issues with best buy and the product works great now that it all connects correctly. If you need a great sound in a medium size are this is what you need very good unit.

Good Sound Bar, Volume With TV Fine Tuning
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThe sound bar is good sounding. Setting it up with the TV took a little bit since, the TV and the sound bar wanted to play the sound. So we turned down the sound on the TV and the sound bar to 0 and then went through the settings on the TV to get the audio to go through the optical cable which allowed the sound bar to play and not the TV. So setting it up took a little bit of time, but nothing that wouldn't make it not worth buying. If your not going to turn it up very loud, then it is a great buy because why buy an 800 watt version if your listening area is normal size.

Very, very good for a budget system.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI generally don't like or buy LG products, but I needed a soundbar and sub on a tight budget for a basement den. After hooking it all up, I hated the sound. So I went to my TV EQ setting and found there was none. That was a surprise. I found an EQ setting on the LG soundbar that really made it come to life. I got it to sound very acceptable for my purposes. Understand I have a Klipsch 5.1 system in my main room, so I was pretty critical of this inexpensive LG system. It works great in my den. It also, without any programming, recognized my TV remote on/off commands and works perfectly with the TV remote volume control. I am using the optical out on my TV and in on the LG. Piece of cake to set up. The sub isn't going to shake the windows, but it does have a good deep bottom and nicely defined highs.
Q: Questionmy sound bar volume drops down on. it's own? How can this be corrected? Very frustrating.
Asked by vini.
- A:Answer Is DRC on or auto volume? Dolby Dynamic Range Control (DRC) Setting. Use this menu to set the dynamic range control, which reduces or increases sound. levels. This setting can be useful when, for example, you want to watch a movie. without hearing wide volume swings between loud and quiet sounds
