Great text Pixels Per Inch
||Posted .PPi is about 185 4 and 5 k iMacs are around 216 pixels per inch. At my office we were comparing with the quality of those LG panels just to give you an idea of how crisp the picture is. On thing that is great about this monitor is that the power supply is build in making it very easy to transport and cable manage. Has a Vesa mount as well! Great monitor interface for adjusting color and brightness. Great color in viewing angles.

The BEST after trying many good ones
||Posted .First let me tell you this is a hidden gem. After doing a lot of research I narrowed my options to the best I could get in the 200-300 range. I was looking to get text displayed as awesome as the MacBook, since I mostly work PDF's, office, programming... you get it. So my first option was getting same like my brother's new Dell ultra sharp 25 QHD (1440 resolution) (very good and comes with extra USB ports, adjustable, portrait mode...) and don't get me wrong the text and everything looks very good (better than 1080p), but not as good as the mac display. Then I tried my coworker's Lenovo L24 QHD (also 1440 resolution) and I liked it quite more than the Dell in terms of display (It doesn't come with all the extra usb ports, adjustable height, etc....but display wise so easy on the eyes for working long hours). The problem was when I saw BestBuy had the LG 24" 4K (2160 res) because I knew I had to try it, and so glad I did! The other two monitors were good but this is FANTASTIC. Because of the size 24" and the 4k resolution you get the most PPI ever, which translates into awesome crisp text, images, video. The controls are super easy to use (unlike the Dell) and on top of that you can download the software from LG to control all the settings of the monitor and split screens etc from your mac / or your windows machine! Fantastic display.

Black could be darker, but still a good buy
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This is my first 4K computer monitor and, while it's not as nice as my medium range 4K UHD Samsung TV, it's definitely a noticeable upgrade over my old ViewSonic 1080P monitor. The resolution is perfect for the screen size in my opinion, at least for computer tasks. When watching movies, there is a noticeable difference in this monitor and the 1080P monitor I have sitting next to it. You can easily see more details on this monitor. The refresh rate isn't as crisp as my TV but it's not bad. The one thing I wish was better was the darkness of black colors. The monitor comes pretty bright. I ended up dropping the brightness and contrast down a bit but black colors still come out a bit brighter than black. Not a deal breaker. I didn't buy this for watching movies as much as I bought it for 4K video editing. One thing I that is odd... it has a setting for volume and when using an HDMI port the PC sees the speaker option on the monitor but no sound comes out! Weird.

Very nice 4k displays
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. The monitors are great... Perfect 4k @ 60hz pictures on both screens. Having audio and both HDMI and Display Ports is extremely advantageous. I used these to set up three displays for a Lenovo Yoga Book laptop. Worked perfectly. Only 2 issues: 1) the stands do not have any height adjustment. 2) one of the monitors had something rattling around inside. All monitors worked out of the box despite one having something rattling around. (Sounded like a piece of hard plastic). The menu and controls and set up are all easy. Getting used to the center pogo cursor control didn't take but a few seconds as well. Excellent product. I would buy again.

Beautiful mirror image of MacPro.
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I was shopping for a 4K monitor to use with my MacBook. Leaning toward this LG 24" and when saw price on Best Buy, it was a done deal! Wonderful image, matches and mirrors my retina Mac display exactly. Would be 5 star, but it isn't seamless for plug and play. The sequence of turning on monitor seems to be important. I sometimes can use with laptop closed, but not always. (this is probably my problem of not understanding directions exactly) Overall very pleased...fun getting used to 24 inch screen after years of my 13 inch laptops!

Love it!
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.THIS is a monitor. It's crisp and clear. Quick and easy set up. You only need a small phillips screwdriver to connec the monitor to the stand. Nice range of tilt also. Very pleased overall. I tried connecting an 24" HP 1080 to my Mac before this and it was terrible. If you scrolled to fast, the color would drag and the screen was so pixelated.

Monitor not providing 4k Resolution - initially
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I bought this Monitor for 4k PC. The monitor is great and I like to have finally a high resolution Monitor. The reason for a 4 star only is the lack of support. I bought a docking station from BestBuy as well. I have been fighting tooth and nail to get it to work though. Initially the Monitor would only get 2k resolution. I tired everything, searched online, downloaded all kinds up drivers to update on PC etc. I called LG support, I went to talk to GeekSquad at Bestbuy... but Nothing helped. I found some MAC users reporting similar issues (since monst MacBook guys have the high end 4k screen too). They use USB-C. docking stations vs the USB docking station I had bought for $100 from BB. So, I then got the USB-C docking station and it slowly started to work. It takes a while for the Monitor to adjust automatically to High Res. Just make sure you got into the Windows/Display section and adjust the resolution to maximum. I am glad that the monitor is great but again, lack of support from LG and other sources made it initially a bit frustrating. Hope this helps.

Q: Questioncan this monitor be rotated vertically, does it swivel?
Asked by psychoticgiraffe.
- A:Answer It comes with a standard mount which is not adjustable in height or able to rotate to portrait mode. However, it is VESA compatible, therefore you can get a wall or better a desktop VESA arm (Those are about 20 bucks if you look hard) and you can rotate to portrait and/or adjust it to every position you would like.

Q: QuestionDoes this monitor have HDR for great color calibration? Also will this work with a desktop with core i3 -7100 processor with 630 graphics?Intel says this processor can do this as long as you have a 2.0 HDMI port on computer.(i do)
Asked by 99jeep4x4.
- A:Answer The 24UD58-B is not an HDR monitor. If it did support HDR, it would need to have direct internal 3D LUT calibration integrated with Lightspace to calibrate and even then, there are few viable ways to calibrate such monitors with 3D LUTs since they have their factory EOTF presets fixed and they cannot be disabled while still maintaining HDR compatibility. Both HDMI ports on the 24UD58-B are HDMI 2.0. ^CP
