Wonderful Large Screen Monitor
||Posted .I absolutely love this monitor, and so do my wife and son. It has a great picture and provides a wonderful screen size to edit pictures as well as ordinary computer work. The IPS panel really makes it easier to match colors while not having to be concerned about avoiding anything other than a straight on viewing angle. For colors it is still not a good idea to shift too far off center although the colors are very good at the extreme angles, but not good enough for photo editing if viewing from an extreme angle. The design is very attractive. It has a very sleek appearance with the smooth front. I appreciate that the power light is not very bright since that always distracts from a monitor when it is shining in my face while I use the monitor. The stand is very stable for this size monitor. If I were concerned about having no wobbling I would purchase a wall mount. Although I rarely have problems with it wobbling even through it is regularly used on a TV table. The one bad thing which occasionally causes a problem is the power button. It is underneath the right side of the screen. It is very sensitive and I have sometimes brushed against it causing the monitor to turn off. This is very minor and, for the price, is not an issue but I just wanted to mention it as that is the reason for my lower rating on the design, and no other reason. It does not have any speakers, but I NEVER use the speakers on a monitor and appreciate not having that 'option' increasing the cost of the monitor.

Almost Perfect
||Posted .Coming from a Samsung 245T(professional series 24" 10bit S-PVA); wanted a 27" Monitor but, w/ a resolution of (only) 1900x1200 (the higher resolution monitors ie: 2560x1080 make your video card work much harder) I am very pleased w/ the 27EA63V-P. Much to my surprise the video, color and clarity of the LG are very acceptable. Out of the box this monitor is WAY too bright. If you use the controls (I have mine set to 30brightness/50contrast) you can get a very pleasing image that is sharp, clear and very vivid, whites look white and darks are dark (like they should be > something you won't find on a non-IPS panel), the darks make watching movies a joy as well. Additionally: I ran my Spyder 3 Pro to calibrate the monitor and now it has almost near the color replication of the 245t but, w/ the larger size. The difference before the calibration is subtle but, Huge: after calibration it is a near perfect image! Cons: the only one I can think of is the lack of height adjustment in the stand. I used a computer surge protector to raise it up a few inches and now it's perfect (turned out to be a minor problem) :) Other reviewers complain about: 1. the "flimsy" stand, I say: plant it and forget it (you won't notice any movement once it's "set" on your desk). 2. Also; ppl complain about the lack of the screen reaching to edges of the bezel (of which it has very little to none); honestly I don't see this as a problem what so ever, and when the monitor is in sleep or turned off it looks great w/ the micro-edge bezel. 3. The buttons are a bit "touchy" but, once you get used to them they work excellently. Final thoughts: At this price point LG hit this one "out of the park"! You really can't beat it. >Don't "cheap" out and buy the lower priced TN-film or the lower priced IPS LG monitor only to regret it later. If you're on a budget: You just got a huge "gift" from LG on this one. Save up and get it > You won't look back. And finally; purchase, borrow or find (I wanted to say steal) a Monitor calibrator to set up this monitor properly & I guarantee your future enjoyment!

Sharp picture, not very heavy monitor
||Posted .I got this to go with a Mac Mini because I did not want or really need the 1K Apple monitor. Of all the 27" monitors that are not the Apple, this is one of the best. It is still only 1920X1080 though, so text can seem a little soft sometimes. I found that sitting back from the screen more helps. For movies and running Ableton Live it is really amazing. I don't watch a lot of movies, but if you do... I think you will be very happy. Overall I think it is worth the money. I also like that is so incredibly light. It has the VESA mounting feature on the back so you can probably use a mount that is designed for a smaller screen. The mounting arms usually say that they are designed for certain sizes, but that is because older monitors were much heavier. I have seen some arms now listing the weight limit rather than size limit.

Great image quality and responsiveness
||Posted .This monitor has a great image quality, very crisp for close viewing on my desk at work. It has a great viewing angle without losing image quality. A coworker had suggested that I get a 32" LG HDTV because it was cheaper, and I thought that the pixel density would be good based on what I saw in the store, but no matter how much I tweaked the settings on the TV, it was still too fuzzy to be useful for reading letters and numbers. So I returned the TV and got this monitor. It is hands down a better experience and took very little to set up the way I wanted the image color, brightness, and sharpness that I wanted. Even though it was a little more expensive than an HDTV, don't let anyone talk you into using a TV for a computer monitor for daily use. It won't be satisfactory; buy this monitor instead.

Great Monitor at a Great Price
||Posted .This is the second LG IPS 27 inch monitor that the writer has purchased. The size was a little overwhelming for about 5 minutes, but after that one wonders how they ever got along without it. Set-up is simple, but one needs to read the manual for any adjustments. The only adjustment that the writer made was to reduce the brightness. There were no dead pixels and color and clarity are excellent. For the money, the LG IPS monitors are a great investment.

Solid design, good image, great buy
||Posted .Great 27" monitor with solid image, good color. Very easy to set up, no issues even with Windows XP using included drivers. On sale, the value is solid - i'm sure there are sharper screens or truer colors but for home use this one is a good buy. Slim design is stylish - because of the size and overhang of the screen, base doesn't control 'wobble' in rooms with heavy traffic. Far from a deal-breaker though.. Power and menu buttons are under screen, somewhat awkward but you do get used to them quick.

Wow
||Posted .I actually purchased a 24" Dell display and wasn't quite comfortable with it. I returned it to the store and looked for other options and settled on the LG display. I didn't want finger on glass. The display is a leap forward for me in clarity/HD -- due to the ICS technology, I understand. A bit pricey and wish it had a low-tech built-in speaker (which is all I need).

Great TV. Love it
||Posted .Very please with the monitor. Great size for my desk, plenty of screen to work with. The stand could be stronger to prevent the monitor from shaking, but unless the washer is on the spin cycle, it's not too bad :-) Buttons are very sensitive to the touch and can easily turn the monitor off or on if you're not careful where you reach. Menu's are a little tricky to navigate with the sensitive buttons. Overall, I am pleased and would buy this monitor again.
