So far so good. Would recommend.
Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.
Let me preface this review by saying this combo oven is replacing a double wall oven from the 70’s. So anything new is an upgrade.
I’m very pleased with it. I was a little dubious about its function after reading some reviews. It seems LG listened and figured out the issue with having to press cancel button after microwaving. I haven’t had that issue at all. Opening the door at the end of its cycle turns off the alert like it should. Of course, if you open the door prior to the cycle finishing then you do have to hit cancel button. But that’s just a normal function.
I’ve noticed that it takes about 30 seconds less than my old microwave to heat up water and a recipe that called for 400 degrees bake in the oven only took 375 degrees with convention bake.
The best part it was like 2k less than the Bosch ovens that were back ordered I had been waiting for.
The sales people & the installers all did an excellent job. However, the microwave arrived with several permanent black spots from the styrofoam packing. I chose a Best Buy gift card rather than a replacement since I didn't want to go through the install again. I haven't used oven yet but do use the microwave once a day. It's kind of noisy but seems to do the job.
We really like our new wall oven with microwave. Only little scared about the touch panel because it’s only one panel for both. In case any thing happened both will be mess up. So far very satisfied with this product.
The oven crisps up food really well. The microwave keeps a fan on afterwards to "cool off" but its pretty quiet. The one reason I gave it three stars is because the oven generates alot of heat. I can feel it blowing out the heat as I walk by the unit.

Oven glass shattered within two weeks
Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.
I purchased this unit on November 17, 2020. It worked fine for the first two weeks until I was cooking potatoes in the lower oven and heard a pop. I open the oven door and glass went everywhere. I immediately called the LG Service Center, they require a technician to come out to verify it is a manufacturers defect. I sent them pictures and asked if they could send a replacement door and I would install it, but they declined. It has been 11 days since this incident occurred and four calls later to LG I have been told it may be another 8 days until they can find someone to repair my brand new wall oven. I find this level of service completely unacceptable especially considering this is an obviously dangerous event.

A:AnswerHarmful effects of microwave go back to original designs many years ago that leaked microwaves outside of the oven. That has been corrected for a long time...Newer microwaves do not leak. As for effect of microwaves on food, they cause the water in the food to heat up and cook by steam. There is no residual effect once shut off.
See this statement from the World Health Association https://www.who.int/peh-emf/publications/facts/info_microwaves/en/
A:AnswerThe oven is combined with one control panel. It is possible that a repairman could repair or replace one unit separately but not easily done.
More likely to need to replace the whole combined oven.
