Complete Mess / Zero Consumer Assistance
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, seeing as I've yet to get any assistance regarding my LG Wall Oven / Microwave combination as part of a larger order in which was placed incorrectly by the store associate along with a $199 Best Buy My Total Membership and $150 in delivery fees (despite the My Best Buy Total Membership supposedly offering free delivery). The order was later found to be incorrectly entered and processed by evidence of the fact I purchased a dual washer / dryer combo (electric) but yet upon review of the order prior to delivery attempt # 1 I discovered they had a gas washer / dryer combo showing in my order. I requested assistance from several corporate departments whom all promised I would receive prompt assistance correcting the order to which never occurred. They even attempted to deliver the incorrect order without confirming with me first at which time I discussed the order again in detail with the delivery driver who again confirmed they had not corrected the order and were attempting to deliver the incorrect items again! Despite my clear communication that I still wanted the items I had ordered and was growing frustated with the fact no one could fulfill their promises to call me back, correct the order or clarify what the cause was for so much confusion I finally after several months checked the order online again to learn that a "Cancellation was in progress" and despite ordering the items on a "tax-free weekend" (in which items in store I was told I could hold by grabbing the tag and providing it at checkout for any "open-box items" I later learned when checking out, that wasn't the case and therefore I had to cut several items I intended to buy out of my order. This item however, was not one of those items only validating how messed up the Best Buy system is in processing "Open Box" items or "Outlet Store" items and zero willingness to work with customers to ensure their orders are fulfilled by price matching or honoring prices shown in store. This and several other errors on their part ultimately lead to my loss of my entire order which I drove over two hours to purchase in store and have yet to receive any assistance in anyway. Clearly Best Buy has grown to a point where individual consumer satisfaction - or even their business is no longer cared about. Once upon a time, consumer business and subsequent satisfaction in their purchases was how businesses measured their business operations and the level of success. Now, a "technology" store selling "technology" products can't even make their own system operate as designed which is not just a flaw but what will likely drive customers away and in time, likely put them out of business. My advice: Even if it costs you more, don't waste your time on their "Sale's" and "Flash Deals" as the good old "If it's too good to be true...it probably is" will likely cause you to sit in limbo with no kitchen appliances for months like I did. Very upsetting experience after having them hold about $4,000 of mine in limbo with little to no communication aside from when they could deliver the incorrect items to my house. The only people I feel bad for are the delivery drivers that likely had to move these items around multiple times because their corporate counterparts and store associates couldn't correct the bigger cog in the wheel which is their product management and inventory enterprise system.

So far so good. Would recommend.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me preface this review by saying this combo oven is replacing a double wall oven from the 70’s. So anything new is an upgrade. I’m very pleased with it. I was a little dubious about its function after reading some reviews. It seems LG listened and figured out the issue with having to press cancel button after microwaving. I haven’t had that issue at all. Opening the door at the end of its cycle turns off the alert like it should. Of course, if you open the door prior to the cycle finishing then you do have to hit cancel button. But that’s just a normal function. I’ve noticed that it takes about 30 seconds less than my old microwave to heat up water and a recipe that called for 400 degrees bake in the oven only took 375 degrees with convention bake. The best part it was like 2k less than the Bosch ovens that were back ordered I had been waiting for.

Great tool for the kitchen
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were not sure what to expect as the store did not have a sample unit and we had to go by pictures and specs. As it turned out, it is a great unit and preparing food has never been this easy. We use both the microwave and oven, often at the same time. I used the broil function of the microwave which worked as advertised. It was also easy to install (4 screws and an electrical connection) after I had modified the kitchen cabinet AND installed a 50 Amp breaker with #8 wiring to the unit. It comes with a 5' flex piece so only an electrical box is needed.

So far so good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are very happy with this purchase so far. After reading many mixed reviews, we were a little bit nervous to purchase this wall oven combo but our Best Buy consultant told us he had not personally heard any complaints so we went ahead with the purchase. We had to hire a contractor to modify the cut out in our cabinet since our previous unit was 4 ½ inches taller than this unit so it added $250 to the purchase price. So much for "standard" 30" wall oven! After reading the very detailed user manual, we baked two separate pans of meatloaf, one in the upper unit using the combination microwave, convection, and halogen cooking and one in the bottom using standard convection. Both were great! The top unit actually created a bit of a browned edge crust and sealed in the juices perfectly. We baked banana bread that came out fluffy and moist instead of dense. The microwave is easy to use. The one downside for us is that the upper unit door folds down in front of you making it difficult to reach the back of the unit and is just a bad design feature. The microwave popcorn comes out great too!

Absolutely Love this Combo Oven
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome combination oven! Very high quality, great manual! This combo oven requires a 50 amp circuit so check your existing wiring first to avoid a surprise expense. Also be aware that It is a single unit and requires a precise cabinet opening which must be ready before the installers arrive. Best Buy customer service was very helpful and greatly appreciated.

We’re lovin’ it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This LG replaced a 38 year old combo and so far we’re loving it. It was 3” shorter than our previous oven so we need to find some trim, but it looks so much better. Both oven and microwave have so many options and the convection oven cooks so well - is it possible that food we’ve cooked for years now tastes better? The only dislike is the annoying jingle that’s played repeatedly when the timer is done, which appears to be a common complaint searching online.

Q: QuestionThis oven uses infrared heating system. I understand it’s faster and conserves energy, but does anyone know how safe it is from health point of view. We’ve been hearing so much about the harmful effects of microwave cooking, I want to be sure this is safe
Asked by Snag.
- A:Answer Harmful effects of microwave go back to original designs many years ago that leaked microwaves outside of the oven. That has been corrected for a long time...Newer microwaves do not leak. As for effect of microwaves on food, they cause the water in the food to heat up and cook by steam. There is no residual effect once shut off. See this statement from the World Health Association https://www.who.int/peh-emf/publications/facts/info_microwaves/en/

Q: QuestionHas anyone put this on a 40 amp circuit, and if so, have you ever had your breaker trip (and if so, under what conditions)? My breaker on this circuit is 40A, which would handle the 7800w, unless under huge surge with all the elements going at once...
Asked by BreakerSize.
- A:Answer 40 amp will be fine Oven has a smart circuit that controls amount of electricity being used I have had convection oven running at 450 degrees and also using microwave on high at same time and no problem Phone app is amazing as well to see electrical distribution
Answered by Tissy
Q: QuestionWhen Either the oven or the micro dies do I have to replace the whole entire unit or do they come apart and you only have to replace the bad unit.... It can get real expensive replacing the entire unit if only lets say the micro dies, oven still perfect
Asked by Nikki.
- A:Answer The oven is combined with one control panel. It is possible that a repairman could repair or replace one unit separately but not easily done. More likely to need to replace the whole combined oven.
Answered by GaryL
Q: Questionshould this be hardwired or does it have a plug?
Asked by mkakl.
- A:Answer There is no plug, just cable that has four wires with connectors. It is a separate cable that comes with it so you have to connect it to the owen and to the electrical source. Hope this helps.
