One h3ll of a TV!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok to start off with, I'm a die hard Samsung guy. Completely going away from my safe zone on this buy! Honestly, best TV I have bought yet. 4K is beyond awesome on it! The quality is A+, which is what I was worries about the most! If you don't know what TV to buy, this is it!

Overall, a great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is almost a 5-star product. After seeing this TV in Best Buy, I read reviews online. It was tough to find a lot of reviews on this particular model, but I decided to go ahead and get it based primarily upon the sheer strength of the picture. Some folks have said it was somewhat complicated to set up - I disagree. If you go through the on-screen steps one-by-one, it's pretty self-explanatory. There is a browser on this TV (which doesn't play flash), in case you're wondering. Using that browser is a little bit awkward with the remote, but it still is great to have it. The main issue was that the color had to be adjusted quite a bit before it was "right." Now, the image looks pretty great, but it was still surprising, considering how terrific the picture looked in the store. So, in sum, the TV is pretty great, and it has a browser. Its built-in apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.) all look terrific and are easy to use. It's definitely worth the nice price, albeit with some finagling after you bring it home.

Very good tv am impressed with LG
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv has a very good picture quality and good viewing from side angle to. Had no problems with WiFi very easy set up. If you plan to use Xbox to game on the TV you will need to switch pitcher to game mode or you will get lag response with game controllers. One down fall to this TV is only having 2 HDMI ports more would be better. Very good tv for the price.

Nice Picture but Lacks Essential Features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have come to love the LG TVs within the last two years. I have a 47 Smart with 3D and its awesome. I purchased when on sale. I could find no reviews when I bought this TV and its an entry level 4k with a great picture but inadequate features. E.g., no headphone output and the remote can't be used to control a cable box unless its connected via coaxial antenna, which you need two remotes or have to buy a good universal remote to access all features for both TV and cable satellite. I'm pretty sure all the tv services use HDMI connections, so this oversight in a 2015 model really is without excuse. There are only two HDMI and one USB. The TV is easy to setup and use. The applications work fine and you can access Netflix and Amazon Ultra HD content and looks great. I returned this model and bought the LG 43" UF 7600 model, which are sold out most places and apparently predated this model in about March 2015. I had no problem connecting to my satellite box and operating it with the Magic remote.

Outsatnding 4K TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this last month and I have to say the set-up was extremely easy easy. The set is very light and bright. 1080P content looks great and with the new 4K blu ray coming out very soon Im excited to see the native 4k images. I would definately recommend this set!!

Good tv for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: 4k, good upscaling, ips panel allows for wider viewing angle, good sound for an inexpensive tv Cons: average at best contrast due to poorer quality blacks, not very bright, cheap looking shiny black bezel Ok overall tv. At this price point, it's competitive with tvs from other manufacturers. Just don't expect this tv to impress your friends and family.

Love LG
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love LG products! Great quality! Second LG tv I have purchased. Got a really good deal on this 4K tv. And I have to give props to the salesman. He was good. My only issue (and I'm partly to blame for not asking) but I never knew my tv was only 65 Hz. Never labeled on the box. Anywhere. Had to look online to see specs. Would have never bought it if I knew that. But!!!! Tv is still pretty amazing for picture. Plus it was still a great deal. Now I know why!! ;)

Q: Questionupscaling?upscaling to 4k..? is this telling me, that because all TV stations deliver their in 420 and 720p, and sometimes in 1080p, whatever they broadcast with, it... the 4k TV upscales it to 4k...?.. so one won't need to purchase HD from cable companies anymore ? we can just use basic cable ?
Asked by just me.
- A:Answer All TVs have a native resolution so that every broadcast or format they receive will be displayed in their native resolutions and will only be able to display video at their respective native resolutions and no higher. This basically means that a TV set is better at displaying HD broadcasts that are in its native resolution. The LG 43" Class (42.5" Diagonal) 4K UHD Smart LED TV w/ webOS 2.0, Model # 43UF6400 has a native resolution of 2160p which is four times as many pixels as 1080p TVs. Major network signals are broadcast in high definition at either 720p or 1080i and your cable/satellite box can be set to output a specific resolution. So when you watch HD content (720p, 1080i and 1080p are all considered HD) on the LG 43UF6400, it uses a process called upconverting (or upscaling) to convert incoming sources to fit its 4K screen. Think of upscaling as a stopgap measure in the absence of true 4K players and content, just as with DVD players that upscaled their content to 1080P, upscaling noticeably reduces the appearance of blockiness and jagged edges, and while a 1080p upscaled image may look good on a 4K TV, it will not look anywhere near as sharp and detailed as 4K content nor as good as 1080p content on a 1080p screen...^IFV
