LG - 5.2 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Smart Front Load Washer with Steam and TurboWash Technology - Graphite Steel

This is a very nice washer. It is much like the more expensive signature series from LG, it just doesn't have the full touch screen. This is still wifi capable and is the largest size LG offers. It has literally every bell and whistle you could get on a washer. It is very efficient. I did not end up getting the stands because of the expense actually. It is $500-700 for the washer depending on if you get it on sale. Plus another $350 for the drawer stand. That is more than most people spend on their washer and dryer combined. I realize that this pair can be upwards of $4000 all said and done, but honestly, for that money they should throw the bottom washer in anyways. Samsung has a model that is similar, and its built in their washer to begin with and on top to boot. This is very nice, and I didn't want the Samsung washer, I thought this one was much more appealing anyways. I got the extended warranty, although I have never had an issue with my previous high end LG washer and dryers except for the lint trap was junk. This one is much more robust and does not look like it will fall apart like the last one did. I must say that previously LG would charge you for every little thing. They did not care what model you had or how much you spent. There was no customer loyalty. I wanted the white ones that would match my cabinets but grey was the only color available. They are big, really big, in comparison to other units. Be aware of that, and do measure. I can just open the laundry room door with the washer door closed. I feel like someday, it may happen that they bash together when someone isn't thinking about it. We will see.

Let me start by saying how much research I did about this machine! I am not an impulse buyer and looked at this thing many times over a 6 month period, comparing it to many others. I finally bit the bullet while they were on sale and purchased the sidekick pedestal washer along with the dryer and it’s pedestal. Delivery and set up are a must... this is very heavy, especially when it’s attached to the sidekick pedestal washer. I can tell you also to plan for about 4 to 5 inches of space behind for the hoses to the washer, pedestal and dryer (steam). I would also recommend the steel braided hoses with a 90° elbow at the end to reduce the space required. Even though the delivery crew leveled them, I had to fine tune the level a bit. Now when they (washer and dryer) are running, there is not a bit of shake. We’ve had these for a month now (since Feb ‘19) and couldn’t be happier. The 5.2 cu ft is impressive and you will find yourself doing larger loads...saving time and money. It is as quiet as advertised but the chime at the end of cycle is not too loud. We’ve connected them through the Smart ThinQ app and have been impressed with it. You will get a notification on your phone and Apple Watch that the cycle is finished (see attached picture). We’ve used the delay start several times and it is also a nice feature ( load at 10pm, delay start so the load is finished around 6am (wake up to a finished load and put in the dryer)). The Turbo wash also does a great job for most of our clothes with only a 40 minute cycle. Overall, highly impressed with this pair (wma9000hva) and believe it’s the best on the market right now. Side note: we bought the 5 year warranty too.

After 40 years of dealing with top loaders and plenty of trouble from a year old competitors brand purchased from a big box store we went ahead and tried these front loaders. We wash a lot of bulky items and these machines had the capacity to handle it effortlessly. Very efficient with detergent too as you only need a quarter size amount to do a load. Both washer and dryer are very quiet. We have only had them for two weeks but so far we are very satisfied with our purchase. Geek squad also did a great job on the installation.

This is a very large, quiet and efficient washer. I was most impressed with how well it actually washed clothes. Far superior to other Samsung and whirlpool front loaders I’ve had previously and far better than any top loader out there. The connectivity is a nicety that will hopefully even improve connectivity and user functions with further software updates in the coming years. Very pleased with my purchase

This washer is massive inside and out. You won't have any issues washing anything with this monster of a washer. It is quiet also. I can't even hear it from the next room. My wife loves her new LG machines. The Geek Squad technicians did a great job of connecting everything up.

Read customer reviews and Consumer Reports reviews of washers and dryers this time around. my last purchase 5 years ago of another major brand washer and dryer didn't work out as well so I decided to be more cautious this time around. My other purchase had me repairing the dryer twice in two years after the warranty expired. This washer not only gets top marks for performance from Consumer Reports but comes in at the top of the reliability predictor. So far we love it, great features and even tells you when loads are done from the app. Just make sure you measure before it gets delivered as this model is bigger than than most other front loaders. We had to raise our wall mounted laundry cabinets about 5 inches to accommodate the increased height. it was bigger by 2-4 inches on almost every dimension over our last set with the sidekick on the washer and pedestal drawer on the dryer.

It cleans so quietly and then plays a tune when it is done, There is no soap residue on the clothes and the size of the drum is wonderful. I'd highly recommend both this item as well as Best Buy to anyone who need a new washing machine! The delivery and installation were White Glove! Thank You!
