Best Gaming Tv Awesome Picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Probably the best gaming tv you can buy right now. It’s got an awesome picture only bested by the Sony oled and i would recommend that one if all you watch is tv and movies plus it got a big price cut. But if you game the lg cx has everything you would want. All the hdmi ports are 2.1, it has variable refresh rate, and its freesync premium and gsync compatible. The only con is burn in but if your scared buy a warranty. If you change your content often enough and don’t leave it on the same thing day in and day out you should be fine plus the tv has fail safes built in to protect it. Once you go oled it’s hard to go back to lcd or qled they can’t match the inky blacks of oled but qled’s can get very bright. If you looking for something other than oled the Samsung q90t is a great tv for gaming. And if you want something even cheaper the tcl 6 series is a great tv for the price I love the roku operating system it’s simple but effective. I love the cx and think its the best tv you can buy right now in the us and you get a free lg xboom bluetooth speaker with proof of purchase until November 11th.

Amazing OLED TV or computer monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first OLED TV and was a little worried about a few things going into this tech. However after a lot of research I decided to go with this one. It has features built in to really help against burn in, which I have heard can be a problem with OLED but not ever having one I can't confirm. There is a very nice screen saver built in, as well as pixel shift. Pros: The color black is just amazing on OLED. It really makes even older shows just pop and also stuff in 4:3 you get a black bar on the sides you almost forget the TV isn't widescreen. Games look amazing on this thing. I have tried a few consoles and a PC on it. Even the Switch looks fantastic on this thing. The audio speakers built in are not that bad. Usually I expect on most TV's these days to have some weak audio. But this came out really nice. There is an optical output as well so I could hook into my sound bar. Bluetooth headphones will also connect to the device, so if you want private viewing or don't want to wake or keep everyone up it is a nice option to have. Pretty smooth smart TV with the programs launching quickly, however not my favorite interface, but I could get used to it. The quick launch features are also helpful, common apps pop up with quick hit of the home button on the controller. The OSD is really quick to respond and has a lot of quick access features for sound and picture. Also the ability to quickly apply settings to all inputs saves a lot of time on things like reducing brightness across the board. (see picture) Was also pleased how easy was to label each input when I was setting the thing up Cons Not sure this is applicable to everyone but the LG remote seems to use the same connection as a LG monitor I have in the same room, so I have been using my phone as a remote for my TV instead of the remote it came with to turn it on and off. WebOS has not been my favorite Smart TV software. The app selection is okay but at the time of writing this HBO Max is still missing. However the quick pop up of apps listed by pressing the home key is pretty nice. Update: I saw some people say GSYNC didn't work for their PC. I was able to get my RTX 2070 super to work fine with it. However you need to have a updated HDMI cable. I purchased a 2.1 version and had no problems and it looked amazing.

Most features I have ever seen on a TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this TV from a Sony 900F and this was a huge jump in picture quality. This TV also has a ton more features such as; Gsync, FreeSync, Low Latency Game Mode, Variable Refresh, Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HDR 10+, 120Hz at 4K for 120FPS 4K gaming, built in Dolby Atmos, and HDMI 2.1 for 48Gbps speeds. I already pre-ordered my XBOX Series X and this TV has all the best features to take advantage of the new consoles coming out next month. For gaming the HDR is some of the best I have seen. It also handles motion very well and HDR or Dolby Vision looks fantastic in movies. Being that this is an OLED display the picture quality is superb. Their are also built in tech/features that are designed to reduce the risk of burn in so under normal use your chances are low of that happening, but I still went ahead and got the 5 year Best Buy warranty just to play it safe. I would recommend this TV for people of who love movies and it is a must for hardcore gamers whether on PC or console.

Great tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tv fir the price. If your looking for a all around good tv for gaming and movies in a dark room than this is the one. It also has the best set of speakers I have ever heard on a tv as well. For all OLED tv’s “burn in” is always a factor but as seen on other reviews has not been an issue on most. Also if you get the geek squad warranty it would cover that issue as well. So you can’t go wrong.

Great TV for PS5/XBOX and all your movie needs!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been eyeing this tv against the Sony 900h for awhile. I have a TCL P607 I bought for my pro in 2017 still in use. I received a PS5 on launch and needed an upgrade. Got this one for my bedroom! Believe me OLED is a different world! 4k,hdr yeah all great. But even at 1080p this tv looks fantastic! Highly recommend for consoles and movies. Also get the 5 year warranty. Take it from me! I worked at Geeksquad 6 years as a FT ARA. I’ve seen a lot of TVs, and worked on some. This is by far the best tv at this price and for gaming! You will never go back to a IPS or VA panel. Just be sure to get the warranty and put it in a man cave or safe are with pets and children. The screen is thinner than my pinky!

The picture is high quality and its external look is nice. The thinness of the t.v. made me worry about its durability but itndoesnt disappoint! It comes with a lot of channels and has a very easy set up. Love this t.v.!

OLED Can't Be Beat!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from an 8-yr-old Samsung plasma, which was still working just fine. But the picture quality on this OLED TV is jaw-dropping. Been watching 4K HDR (high dynamic range) videos non-stop for a few days now -- incredible contrast, detail, color, and clarity. Black is really deep black. Also been noticing more fine shades of color with regular HD upscaled content too. Panel is so thin it's almost scary -- thinner than my cell phone. Tons of picture quality settings... be prepared to spend some time tweaking things to your liking. This LG TV supports 4K HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG-HDR, but not HDR10+. A small window momentarily indicates when it detects that format. Also has a built-in web browser, Google Assistant, and Alexa. Most of the common apps (Tablo, YouTube, Sling, Hulu, Netflix, Pandora, Apple TV, etc.) are downloadable from the built-in LG Content store. Not too much need for my Roku box now. Remote control has a on-screen mouse pointer mode, which is somewhat useful but takes a while to get used to. (Don't have to use it if you prefer the 4-button navigation.) Many buttons on the remote have a 2nd function when long-pressed. Voice input is also on the remote.

QUALITY, GAMING, 120HZ, LOW LATENCY, BEAUTIFUL TV
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was lucky enough to pick up a PS5 and a Series X. I had an older Samsung 4k. I needed to upgrade to a better TV to take advantage of hdmi 2.1 4k 120hz. This TV is absolutely stunning. Playing 4K @120hz is an amazing experience. I'm a very big gamer and this TV meets all of my needs and truly takes advantage of the latest technology available. 4K 120hz all 4 hdmi ports, low latency, OLED is beautiful, true blacks, rich colors, just a phenomenal TV. Even thought this is s 2020 TV, i have no regrets and i didn't want to wait for a 2021 model. I purchased a 5yr geek squad warranty, i highly recommend doing so. Yes it's pricy but being OLED, burn in could be an issue in the future. I don't know as i've only owned the TV for 4months thus far and no issues. But purchasing a warranty gives me peace of mind knowing i'm covered for the next 5yrs should something happen. You don't have to be a gamer to appreciate this TV. Although i do game A LOT, i also use this TV for Netflix, HBO Max, YouTube, Prime, etc. Dolby Atmos and DolbyVision is beautiful. I can't recommend this TV enough. Please note, this is my first LG TV. LG, you earned a fan here. keep up the great quality products coming like this one.

Q: QuestionAre current LG OLED TVs less susceptible to screen burn-in than earlier models? I am replacing a 2016 model that developed burn-in of the CNN logo. I’d love to get a new OLED, but I’m afraid burn-in will reoccur. Would I be better off with a QLED set?
Asked by KYJim.
- A:Answer OLEDS are still susceptible to burn in. It’s just the nature of the rechnology. However, the new models have features that make it less likely. LG models now have screen shift which constantly moves the screen a few pixels and logo luminance adjustment which dims static images like logos. You can also avoid burnin by varying what you watch. Especially news programs with static logos. Particularly red logos. According to a popular tv rating website the CNN logo is the number one cause of OLED burn in. If burn in happens under warranty LG will cover parts to repair it but not labor. You can also purchase Geek Squad coversge which covers parts and labor but in some cases just offers a replacement. That’s how I got my C7 replaced after burn in of the CNN logo. The CX is my fourth Lg OLED. Only had burn in on the one and since then I watch cable news on my computer or the kitchen tv just to be safe. As for QLED vs OLED....burn in does not happen with QLED. If you watch a lot of CNN or just tend to leave it on all the time I would by the QLED. They both produce excellent pictures but have different qualities. I watch a lot of movies and play video games so I stick with OLED for color accuracy, viewing in a dark room and response time. Qled is very good in those areas but in my opinion the OLED is better. Hope my answer helps.....

Q: QuestionReflection, Glare and Brightness, Burn in. How concerned should I be about this? Samsung for 13 years zero issues with the TV. I am debating LG CX 55 or Samsung Q90t. I assume people watch their OLED during the day or morning right? I want to switch but..
Asked by jeff.
- A:Answer Hi James, I went with the cx...spent 2 weeks with it trying to love it. I have an average bright room and it’s dim during the day. It’s really dim with HDR content as well. The blacks I kept hearing about are nice but when the whole screen is black was hard to see anything. Otherwise aside from way too many setting it was okay but it just doesn’t get bright enough like 750 nits max. Exchanged for a Q90T....wow the bright vibrant picture, 4K upscale was better, sports during the day were way better. HRD better as it can do way more brightness which is the whole point of HDR. I wanted to like OLED and maybe if I watched tv in a cave I would have but I like to have my blinds open and even at night have lamps on. And I don’t to baby sit my tv either burn is rare but until it’s covered by LG it’s probably something to be aware of. OLED people will bash QLED and vice versa I’ve had both and they both have their pros and cons. In terms of usable tv in all environments and different people in a room with varied light a QLED is just a more pleasing TV.

Q: QuestionDoes this have a ATSC 3.0 receiver ( next gen) My market ( Baltimore) will have 3.0 available in July and I use an indoor antenna for OTA channels. I am starting to shop for a tv which can use that technology. Thanks..
Asked by Antennaboy.

The six 2020 LG OLED models that have built-in hardware to support the NEXTGEN TV (ATSC 3.0) tuner are: the 55-, 65- and 77-inch class GX Gallery Series 4K Ultra HD models, the 65-inch class WX Wallpaper 4K model and 77- and 88-inch class ZX Real 8K models.
