Yes, there are better TV’s. It is not an OLED and it is not great with dark scenes in a dark room. The wide angle viewing is not as good as advertised, either. It is a very modern, new technology 4K HDR LED Projector TV. The picture is fantastic. The HDR is unbelievable. This replaced a top of the line Panasonic Professional Plasma that cost nearly 10x more. This picture from this cheap LG is easily 10x better that the old Plasma. Just not in dark scenes and not when you look at the TV from far to the side. All around, this is an amazing TV. It performs drastically better than its advertised specs. However, out of the box, it is practically garbage. Factory settings are too dim and make everything look like a cartoon. First thing to do is TURN OFF ENERGY SAVER! This unlocks all of the settings. Set it to HDR on High. Turn off the TrueMotion and all of the Picture settings, except maybe Motion Eye Care. Once you set the panel brightness, color, contrast and picture settings, this TV can get Blindingly Bright even in a bright sun lit room. I went with this TV specifically because the Plasma was great in a dark room, but this room is bright and we don’t watch movies in the dark. If you are looking for a great all around TV and are not going to watch dark movies in a dark room, this is a 5 star TV. The savings in price is really because you will have to manually set this TV to display the best quality picture it can produce. Once you do, it looks like a TV that cost 3x more. The sound is also nice and clear for a TV, but not cinematic. You need a stereo or sound bar for that. One other thing I notice is a bit of a vignette effect on the top corners. I think this is how the computer upscales a lot of cable TV content, because a quality 1080p Blu Ray will not produce this effect. The last and most important thing is this TV is spectacular when it comes to upscaling HD content to 4K. We were pleasantly surprised by that. Now almost everything on TV is in 4K. The smart tv software is very good, too. The picture is a fast moving scene, taken by iPad, the room is 1/2 light dimmed.

So I’m this price range you will not go wrong! First for a TV this size sound is usually sacrificed here it has robust sound and one amazing picture, the smart functions are plentiful and updated near seamless, WiFi connectivity is fast and I’ve noticed no faults there. All and all a real solid TV and again you can’t go wrong!

Great picture quality, Upscaling for me is best when I use game mode. Extensive research before purchase confirmed what I experienced with use: WebOS is the best operating system in the TV business. Super connectivity: I use two HD DirecTV dvr's, PC with GEForce 1050 card, coffee-table laptop, and a stand-alone 1080i Hauppauge Recorder. All connected without any external switching! Important to know; when a separate switcher (as in a HT receiver) is used: you loose a powerful feature: pix quality control memory by input in the LG television.

Needed a larger screen to fit into built-in entertainment center. Fits perfectly and was so easy to setup. Added soundbar and blue-ray player also - finished quickly and works with great picture and sound!

I was looking for an upgrade from a 55” Samsung and was talked into buying this. The associate was very helpful and I’m glad she did it. The resolution is great for movies/tv/gaming and the web integration is simple. Fast access to Netflix and Amazon via the remote and quick responses from switching through the apps. Makes streaming easy. Mobile users that stream can find several app options via the app stores to cast to the tv and so far, most options I’ve used work flawlessly. All in all, great tv. The only con I’ve found is the tv is much heavier than my previous and the first one I inboxed was crushed during transport to the store, that was rectified hastily though.

I didn't think I would be happy going to this tv size from a 70 in but this tv has been amazing. It has do many built in features which makes accessing everything so convenient. The only thing I would add to the tv is maybe a couple more hdmi ports.

Great tv for a great price. I love the 4K picture!
